Scout vs. Witch: A Tale of Boy Meets Ghoul

Payback says...

I had to look up Meg Mucklebones to see what he meant. I discovered some stuff.

1- Meg makes the Witch look like Charlize Theron.
2- Tom Cruise doesn't age. At all.
3- Meg was played by Robert Picardo, Voyager's holographic doctor, SG-SG1's Mr. Woolsey

Louis C.K. repeatedly asks Donald Rumsfeld if he's a lizard

vaire2ube says...

Oh yea this theory has always been good stuff... actually the David Icke books are a good read for many different reasons...

David Icke Website
http://www.davidicke.com

"British author exposes the reptilian bloodline that rules the world."

"...human beings originated in a breeding program run by a race of reptilians called Anunnaki from the Draco constellation, and that what we call reality is just a holographic experience; the only reality is the realm of the Absolute"

For all his out-there theories he makes good points and gives food for thought:

"When you survey the world today ... when a child dies in this world of preventable disease every two seconds, when the economic system of this world must destroy the Earth simply for that system to survive; when you see all the wars, and when you see all the pain, and when you see all the suffering, is it a force of love and wisdom and tolerance that is in control of this planet?" -- david icke

The Amazing Spider-Man - Trailer

oOPonyOo says...

That is some super bad hair on Spidey. The thumbnail makes me laugh out loud. Almost won't see this I hate Dennis Leary so much (comedic hack).

I was seriously hoping for Mysterio. With a 3D movie they are missing out on some serious cool holograms (or is it holographs?) Fighting the Lizard, besides the walking upright and having thumbs, is kind of like super gator-wrestling. Can he speak with no lips. =)

'splosions look cool though. Couldn't tell if Dr. Connors was missing a limb like in Spidey 2.

Productivity Future Vision (2011)

quantumushroom says...

Some notes:

* A lot of the tech by then should be voice-operated, using natural language. The idea of using palm-sized anything 10 years from now will seem ridiculous. If anything, screens will be flexible and foldable OLEDS.

* "They" are working on contact lenses with screens built in. The Augmented Reality glasses were probably closest to something useful.

* The tech is highlighting uses it defeats. Example: the idea of sending a meat-sack to another city across the world for a meeting seems ridiculous with the advent of holographic teleconferencing.

* Where is the pr0n?

Adobe MAX 2011 - Photoshop Image Deblurring Sneak

bmacs27 says...

@rychan is correct to distinguish defocus from motion blur here. I had the opportunity to get lunch with this guy who is also working on this topic for adobe when he came down to give a talk about it. It's cool work for sure. The guy quickly talked about how he managed to get nasa to fund taking a picture of Earth from space using all ground based equipment by taking images of the reflection off the moon. He's definitely one of the wildest cats out there.

@vaire2ube Yea, that stuff is cool too. The best is that you can turn the lenses around to make floating holographs like these.

Destroying your faith in humanity: the iRenew bracelet

MarineGunrock says...

This isn't even new! There have been magnet bracelets for YEARS, and the "holographic" ones are even more of a scam, if that's even possible. The holographic ones tout that they "align the proton flow through your body" or some such nonsense.

New frontier in chipmaking is here. Single layers of atoms.

The new see-through airplane of the future

solecist says...

um um um also our airplane can perform brain surgery while you watch holographic martin lawrence movies and get a foot massage from your own personal cyborg and and and if u need to shit you can't because we forgot the bathrooms

CIA Agents Admit To Faking Bin Laden Video

westy says...

Alix Jones is such a dumb fuck allot of the time he finds valid things that are a real issue and then he retardifies them and puts an idiotic spin on them in the process anny valid things he reveals go unheard becuse they are drowned out by his made up idoitic things he sticks on them.

its analagouse to the 911 conspiracy videos , there are very real and valid points about 911 , accountability and how bad the official reports are and how america used it to justify a war to people.
yet those key points are drowned out by dipshits that go on about holographic planes or things that could never be proven ethor way and would not resolve annything in the future if they were proven or not.

FOIA Lawsuits Cause Release of New WTC7 Collapse Video

westy says...

>> ^MarineGunrock:

I want the dumb-fuck truthers to answer a couple of "simple" questions for me, or to STFU:
1)What is there to gain from it?
2)Where are the signature multi-level explosions used to fell a building?
3)How the fuck do you sneak all the explosives in with no one noticing?
4)Why would they bother making them fall straight down? Wouldn't sideways be better if you're going to kill a bunch of people?

lol although there are defintly mental conspircy things holographic planes and totaly weard shit there are a whole bunch of things that everyone would want and agree with , it seems the ultra conservatives and people who made money out of 911 benofit the most out of verbaly atacking truthers.

evan if a % of truthers come out with stupid shit i think the vast majority of people actually have legitimate questions which Evan outside of 911 would serve well to be anserd/investigated.

The 911 official report has sections missing and dosent realy shine a light on blatant governmental faileors.

the other weird stuff like how american government wont admit they shot the other plane down ,I guess if they admited to that it puts more questions on there reluctance inactivity to shoot down th eplanes that hit WTC and pentagon.

What i really dont understand is the truthers that make shit up or focus on details that could never be proven disproven and dont realy serve any benofit to know the ansers to.

In the end ultimetly bush administration/ whoever funds them and who ever owns us government right now will pritty much do whatever the fuck they want it seems that some "truthers" think some how knowing the full story behind 911 will fix politics result in those responsible going to jail in the end evan if a photograph was found with bush presing a button that said blow up wtc nothing would happen.

there are loads of strange things with the London bombings as well , but if annything what the terrorist atacks go to show is that we cannot realy do annything to stop them , and its actualy a realy low risk to be killed in one , if for example 4k people died every year from terrorism that still way way way less people that get run over by cars. If you spent evan a fraction of the war money used to fight terrorisum on car safty then u wud save more people do more good in the world , i mean evan put that money into clean water forest restoration, redusing malaria . thats whats obsurd about the situation

RFlagg says...

Yes, the color here seems pretty amazing compared to what I am used to seeing in holograms. Not quite a map though since this is a static image, if you could do a full Google Maps sort of things then that would add to how cool it is.

>> ^ryanbennitt:

I remember coming across a shop selling loads of holograms in Amsterdam. Most were monochromatic, but a few were in colour and very impressive.

My problem with the Star Wars in the air projection is the black levels have to suck in a regular living room. It seems like the illusion would be less convincing if projected in the air than if projected on a panel where it could be more like watching it through a window... at least until holodeck technology comes along.

>> ^ponceleon:

It is good, but I disagree that it is the "good kind of 3d."
I'm still waiting for REAL 3d projection. Like in Star-Wars where they project the deathstar as an actual 3d object in the air.
