In any case, it's only talking about South Australia (population 1.65 million out of an Australian population of 24 million) and specifically about a period of South Australian history between the 1996 National Agreement on Firearms and 2001 when Trevor Griffin left office.

I think the original program was probably talking about the ineffectiveness of the South Australan police force at the time, but it has little if any relevance to either the U.S. or to the other 90% of Australia.

You could probably still find a handful of people who would say similar things, but most people support the current regulations.

I've been a fan of Randi since he was the executioner in the Alice Cooper shows in the early 70s. But I couldn't watch a minute of this crap. The host is a perfect blend of every TV/Internet/video/pop culture cliche. He makes Kathy Griffin seem tolerable.

It's not exactly recent, is it. Trevor Griffin retired from the South Australian Parliament in 2002. It actually looks like part of a local South Australian current affairs report from just after the laws were passed that has been re-edited as a criticism of the national program.

The moral of the story, is it possible to take footage from Australian tv and either edit it to make us look like nongs, or just find source material that already makes us look like nongs? Why, yes! That is entirely possible.

Sounds more like Kathy Griffin to me.
