You know, the sad thing here is, there are actual conservative principals worth defending. Conserve as in conservation as in conservative as in keep things the same. Keep em stable.

So when I see "conservatives" at the Supreme Court pretty much upending 50 years of legal precedent, it - much like the laws the would supposedly conserve - is confusing. Like the man who nominated most of them at this point, previous law doesn't seem to affect their decisions if their religious zealotry needs to be front and center.

Therefore, why obey ever changing laws? Just wait until it's overturned. Wait until the other political party can install more judges who are partial to that issue.

Humans have been using drugs since the first person ate the wrong plant and got high instead of dying.

If you look at most drugs in nature, it is almost impossible to OD on them IN THEIR NATURAL FORM.

It's only when we alter that using chemicals, heat, or modifying the plant's genetic code via cross-pollination that we get drugs that destroy people.

Conversely, drugs that have been distilled from natural sources have also saved millions from death or from chemical imbalances in their bodies.

Man made drugs keep me on a (mostly) even keel. Without them my life is hell. Not from addiction, but because my body's chemicals are out of whack.

Yet some man made drugs are poison and should not be used (or extremely rarely). Most opioids fall directly into that category. Still, it is the corporate greed and misuse of these drugs that make them an ignored epidemic.

I could go on, but TL;DR

Natural drugs are a gift to humankind. Man Made drugs are a mixed bag.

Honestly you could walk down any street in America, close your eyes and spin around. First person you see when you open them would be a better President.

John McCain was someone who I loathed mostly for picking that religious-nut-writhing-on-the-ground-chanting Sarah Palin. Genuine policy disagreements and VP pick aside though, he was a patriotic American and highlights just what a traitor this president and his supporters are to this country in comparison.

That said, he spent 5 years being tortured in Vietnam rather than leaving immediately because he refused to leave without his fellow American captors.

I'm sure the tow, to get her up to speed, has to do with reducing wind and weight. The addition of the gearing needed to get her to up to those speeds without assistance would be ridiculous.

I have to say that as a Canadian I was disappointed in this program. I don't think they raised the right points or asked the right questions. I do think these services hype themselves to much and maybe many people go into this with exaggerated expectations of what they can do for you. I did both 23andMe and Ancestry and to me the strength lies in identifying possible relatives. But studies aside, you can literally test this yourself - eat no cholesterol for a week or two, and it will go down, and back up again when you start eating it. It's really that simple.
