Tebow's AMAZING 80 yd TD to Win the 2012 AFC in OT
I still won't buy into the Tebow hype. Dude can't throw even if his life depended on it. Too bad the playoff game against New England is on a Saturday... because it'd make another good writing material for another skit at SNL.
Tebow is sub-par compared to other QBs. Even Michael Vick on his 2nd year at the Atlanta Falcons played better than Tebow right now. What good is a team that depends on the QB to run the ball more times than necessary? Eventually that play style in how NFL is played will result in a major injury and Broncos are gonna be a mess again. (Then again, they've been a mess ever since they had Tebow as 3rd stringer.)
New England got this one handily. I just hope that NE's defense will beef up... shoddy defense really hurts.

Vertical Landing. Do you get this? VERTICAL JET LANDING
Just a note, the F-22 production costs are currently more expensive than the F-35, but that's because the F-35 hasn't ramped up to full production yet. Once that becomes the case, the F-35 will end up costing more until its production stabilizes, and by that time the F-22 will end up dropping in price. Also of note, the F-22 surpasses the F-35 in most combat capabilities, be it air-to-air or air-to-ground. It has the capability of carrying more armaments, and a greater variety of armaments. It also has a better stealth aspect, higher speed, longer fuel range, and better maneuverability.
That's not to say that the F-35 is unnecessary. It's quicker to deploy and has better carrier capabilities. This is what it needs to fulfill its role as a strike fighter, whereas the F-22 is a superiority fighter.
This is why the F-15 Eagle has been in use for such a long time, alongside the F-16 Falcon, and the F-18 Hornet. While the Eagle was the main superiority fighter until the F-22, the Hornet and Falcon are carrier-capable, making their deployment easier.
Okay, wandered off for a bit there . . . long story short, fighter jets r cool.
Pigeon vs Peregrine Falcon
Speaking of pigeons, did @pigeon get eaten by a falcon?

I know what it is. It's the Millennium Falcon.
What the hell is an aluminum falcon?
I think its the thing they were looking for in that Humphrey Bogart film.

Star Wars: The Old Republic - Incredible Opening Cinematic
Ok, yes that was bad ass. but I really hate to say it. Everything in the video is something already seen in a star wars film.
Dude with a red face fighting with a light saber staff thing.
Droids with duel blasters.
Chase through an asteroid field.
Fast ugly tough cargo ship owned by a smuggler with gun ports on top and bottom. (They just need to name it the Aluminum falcon)
Big triangle shaped ships.
Mentor Jedi dieing while rookie lives.
Flying through some kind of structure.
The disturbance in the force pause and sad face.
Storm/clone troopers.
Smuggler saves the day. But, I will admit this one makes Han Look like a whiny little girl.
An R2D2 wannabe
and the escape in to hyperspace.
And apparently I'm not the only one to see this as several people already pointed it out.....
Whats truly sad is I don't have a computer that will run the game. So, I'll have to miss this one.
Star Wars: The Old Republic - Incredible Opening Cinematic
It isn't just Han Solo that's being ripped off. The whole time I was watching it seemed like they were putting old ideas in new clothes and changing the order around.
Smuggler guy who cares about money, helps the Jedi, and happens to have the fastest ship - Han Solo
The Sith ship that landed in the docking back looked an awful lot like the Millenium Falcon
Man the guns while I get the hyper-drive ready - escaping the Death Star in Episode IV
Tiny bit of Empire while they dodged some asteroids
The Jedi apprentice's master is killed and now she must carry on the fight against the Sith(I, IV, VI)
Flying through the Sith ship looked an awful lot like going into the Death Star in Episode VI
I understand the necessity of continuity in this universe they've created. A lot of its not only necessary, but fun. Still, they need more new ideas. The trooper being a character that gets developed may be the only new one. Also, the Jedi chick left her lightsaber with her master so that's probably a starting point for the game - you get to play as a Jedi, but you don't get a lightsaber for a while.
Still, this video did look freakin' awesome!
>> ^rychan:
What the hell... this was better than 90% of the prequel content. All four protagonists (two jedi's, captain, and stormtrooper) are already more likeable than Anakin and Padme. We got to see a storm trooper actually doing cool stuff. The smuggler was clearly a Han Solo rip off, but still. It's such a great universe, why do you have to run it in to the ground George Lucas.
Unfortunately, the actual gameplay footage I've seen looks pretty pedestrian.

How old are you son?
I understand that total cost on HC will drop under a single-payer system. I want a single-payer system. What you don't seem to understand is who will likely reap the benefits of a sudden switch to single-payer. If you don't think taxes will need to go up to cover a government plan, you must not understand physics. Of course they will. Right now the bulk of healthcare costs are paid for in the private sector. A single-payer plan moves that to the public sector. Either taxes or deficits (hopefully taxes) will cover that change in the government balance sheet.
Sure, in a perfect world companies would just increase your salary in-line with what they were previously for your healthcare. Over the long run, they would, as labor markets will demand it. Of course in the short term they won't. Corporations will just stop paying the redundant benefit. You'll be left with higher taxes, and the same pay. During a recession, that's a really bad idea. Exxon's profits will soar, because the cost of their labor will drop. Your take won't though.
Also, a more esoteric point for the true wonks: if you think Aetna's approximately 5% margins are the problem, then I suggest you look at Medtronic's 20% margins.
Don't call me son.
