VideoSift Podcast Episode 2 (Sift Talk Post)

Continuum season one is ok, but don't bother watching the rest cause it sucks. there's a great new sci-fi show called The Expanse and I've also been watching The Colony which is quite promising so far ... As for Life on Mars I'd recommend watching the british version. I found Limitless extremely boring and unimaginative, didn't watch it past episode two

I suppose I'm not old, it's just strange to be among the "parents" now...

Sadly, my friend's daughter was 'napping' during the dinosaur ceremony in episode two, so she doesn't make it into the final round...

I don't see how that makes you old, but I hope she wins!

I watched the first 2 seasons of Oz when they were broadcasted here... For some reason I stopped after that... I think it is one of the best prison shows that's been created.

I downloaded the six seasons of the series OZ before I went away last week. Now I'm in the middle of binge watching the show. I'm about to begin watching season five now after watching thru four brutally dark seasons in two and a half days. I'm saying this because that doc so relates right now. absolutely brutal.
Here's the show... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118421/
Here's the torrent... http://btjunkie.org/torrent/Oz-COMPLETE-DVDRip/3952996652f8ac10a6ce1f261fee9bc35c765aab35be
Cheers. It is the most depressing show ever, but so very well done.

I'm fairly confident Half-Life 2: Episode Three will actually be released as Half-Life 3. It's been over 2 years since Episode Two was released, and we haven't heard a single detail or seen a single screenshot from the expected Episode Three. I think they were finding that the episodes were taking longer than they intended, and decided if it was going to take as long as it was, they may as well release another whole game.

GameTrailers Top 10 Years of Gaming

On paper, 2007 seemed like a really great year: Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Portal, Team Fortress 2, BioShock, Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4. But only Episode Two managed to make it into my all-time top 20. Maybe it's just too soon for the other games to bump older favorites.

I'd probably have to pick 1995 as the best year, when Chrono Trigger, Command & Conquer, and X-COM: Terror From the Deep (my introduction to the series) were released. It's hard to pick just one year, though. The best "era" I would say was 1997-2000, when my top 5 all-time favorite games came out (Deus Ex, System Shock 2, Half-Life, Fallout 1 and 2).

Hahaha. That's funny stuff. Way to call out an idiot know-it-all.

Way to fucking spoil it for people that haven't played Episode two, Payback.
Also, there are no folders that contain specifically sounds. The only other files for HL2 are a couple of .bin files. Other than that, it's all been copied if you followed the instructions.
And yeah, it's a hack. "Hack: A clever solution to an interesting problem."
Hack doesn't necessarily mean dealing with code and shit, you know.

Team Fortress 2 Group! (Videogames Talk Post)

pyrex says...

No, gorgon, Steam doesn't charge anything beyond the actual cost of the games. Personally I'd like to see it hanged for crimes against humanity but that's a whole 'nother story.

Finished HL2: Episode Two yesterday for the second time, just gunned it through to listen to the commentary track. Pretty different to Episode One, a lot more gunplay and some interesting story developments but still too short. I'm glad they're ending the story arch with Episode Three. Just hope it doesn't take another year to develop.
