Conservatives Create Violent Atmosphere

Kofi says...

McVeigh was far right wing (probably closer to Loughners cause than others) while the Unibomber was far left.

Thing is, all this is pure speculation until we find out the motives behind the shooting. Chances are is that it has nothing to do with any of this media rhetoric and that the left media is using it as an excuse to hold the right to account for what has been a build up of implicit violent speech by the right. And why not? Shame it takes such a cataclysmic event for debate to occur.

Zero Punctuation: Top 5 of 2010

It wasn't much of a year for gaming. Games I enjoyed: Settlers 7, Fallout: New Vegas, and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. I think that might be it. That sucks.

Most-anticipated game award goes to Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Game Trailers World of Warcraft "Cataclysm" Review

While playing the new content, my wife said to me "I can't believe I even played this game before." That's how good the new content is.

I have to admit, I look back at the original game, and I wonder the same thing.

Its amazing how much hard work people put themselves through to play WoW.
I've tried it multiple times on various trials and offers and each time I burn out somewhere in the mid20s. Leveling just isn't fun, too much of that game seems boring and repetitive. It frustrates me that they go to so much effort to great such a amazing vast world but then fail to make the gameplay or leveling etc at all engaging. And then they ask you to pay for it.
To enjoy SC2 I think you really have to enjoy playing games competitively. Its nowhere near the vastness of WoW and it just doesn't offer the same escapism, but the adrenaline rush I get from winning SC2 games is really beyond compare. I haven't even completed the campaign, the only progression I care about is ladder ranking.
Different games for different gamers I guess. Got fingers crossed for Guild Wars 2 though.

My problem is no time to play.

Have not played in about 3 months. I'll probably look at the expansion anyways but knowing Blizzard I will probably be bored pretty quickly this time.

The large disappointment is perhaps because I went to Blizzcon 2009 with 4 others and we were all rather looking forward to the expansion. Then they started to cut features and change things. I think now the only thing that is still left is that the expansion is still called Cataclysm.

In other words, most of the cool shit they talked about at Blizzcon is not in the game. In particular I was really annoyed with this getting axed. http://www.wowwiki.com/Paths_of_the_Titans. Now the game is about as Wal-Mart as it can possibly get, and it was already dirt easy. Simplified talent trees and all, I looked at the recent changes and it just looks... boring.

The server I played on was useless anyways, probably one of the most dead servers in the game. Everyone I knew transferred off. Bah. I don't want to pay more money just to move my characters around to join my friends.

Oh yeah, then there is this little game on the horizon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_The_Old_Republic

World of Warcraft Lib Dub: We Didn't Start the Fire

Joe Rogan takes on Noah's Ark believer.

Joe Reagen So he is the authority on this subject matter?

However the other dude actually goes out and investigates and actually sees a large vessel way up a mountain which happens to have the proper dimensions as listed in the BIBLE and to be in the relative area with respect to biblical reading. He does not actually claim it to be the ARC but indicates striking coincidence.

Shameful

If they've in fact proven that there is a "boat" there, good on them. So they found the vessel from which all of these inter-religious stories stem from. This does not make the stories true.

Do you actually believe it was physically possible to fit two of every animal (including insects and other tiny organisms) in the world on a single boat?

If you can say yes to that question I'd like to see the schematics of the boat you have in mind and the explanation of how only a single family was able to build this vessel.

What this is, is exactly what Joe Rogan says and what others in this thread have re-iterated. It's probably a story about some major cataclysm that happened in the past, before the written word, and was passed down by word-of-mouth, like one giant game of telephone that spans centuries and maybe even millenia before it was even written down.

Diablo 3: The Demon Hunter

RFlagg says...

I for one am looking forward to Diablo III more than Cataclysm... sort of. I have more or less stopped playing much WoW until Cataclysm comes out as I am tired of questing and I don't enjoy dungeons (I don't like others counting on me, too afraid I'll be a failkin lol) or PVP. If I could solo the dungeons that would be different, or some AI help. In other words, I wish there was less of a social aspect to WoW... which is sort of against the whole point of an MMO.

I never really got into EQ. I did play EQ for a little but I thought that that was a "grindfest" and after coming from UO it didn't feel as free... you couldn't have pirate ship wars.

I miss the wild west days of Ultima Online! I know exactly what you mean about the switch from UO to EQ. UO had something special that no other MMO has quite been able to replicate. It was kill or be killed, but since there weren't any "epics", if you lost all your items it wasn't a big deal, and if you had the skillzs, you could completely own a player more geared than yourself with a single spear and a few reagents to cast a spell or two. I remember days riding naked on a horse, killing blue players in plate armor then dumping all their shit in my house. I had a chest that was completely filled with random gear and masks -- Oh, the glory of my coonskin hat collection!
