Not an expert, but it could be a domino effect of a loose screw scenario, causing all the screws to be snapped off. If he wanted to make the case that all of the left/far left sites are as untruthful as the right/far right sites then he should have introduced some additional analysis of the truthfulness of the articles on the sites. He didn't do that so his comparison is basically invalid.
