I happily reached for my laptop this morning like I do every morning.  A quick email check and peek at Sift with some coffee is how I begin most days.

 But not this morning...   It says it cannot find windows.  I look for my emergency boot disk... Oh, thats right, I didn't make one.  My last computer had an emergency partition thing so I thought all computers did that now.  idiot.

Other than losing some pictures, I'm hoping this means I'm getting a new one.   I will take it to someone to try and save the pictures. 

So do any of our coolest geek savviest sifters here have a suggestion on what to buy if I have to?

 Ok, so it's no big deal.  

 What does one ask for when you turn the big halfway point?   I'm so lame, I asked for a bread machine and a weekend trip to Amish country.

Thought I was making hubby happy gettiing DirecTV's NFL ticket free for 4 months.  When the installer came and saw that I had cable internet, he said it was impossible to get into my on OnQ line w/o ditching the comcast first.

Of course I CAN NOT get rid of internet.  So he says he'd have to drape cable around the outside of my house.   Well hell, you might as well park a hunk of car on blocks and roost some chickens in it!   Do these people realize we have foreclosures going on?  I will not put tacky cables all over the outside of my house.   My HOA would have something to say not to mention it's just plain ugly.

 I said then.. ok.  How about just one cable from the dish on the edge of the garage.  You can send it through the inside of the garage straight into the wall of the livingroom where the tv is.

 He says that's fine BUT I will lose the special deal w/ NFL ticket and 4 receiver, one being HD DVR for free.   AND later in the spring when I had money to hire an electrician to upgrade my OnQ thing.. DirecTV will NOT let me have the new 'swim set' set up where they just go in the one main line of the house.  They will STILL have to run the cable outside the house even if I upgraded my house later.  

 CUZ they only give 'swing set' through the hub technology to new customers WTF !!!??

So now I'm pissed cause I was looking forward to seeing the season premeire of House tonight!!!  Damn Damn DAMN!!!!!!~!!  RANT RANT Spit and kick.. damn I'm angry

Damn it was hot in S.C.   The temp on a bank sign  I drove by one day read 100 F.  I don't miss that at all.  I tried to sneak some neighbor's wi-fi a time or two, but never got a signal nice enough to sift.

 My drive was uneventful.  I had never noticed before how many crosses there are down there.  There was a semi truck behind us once that had a large illuminated cross that covered the grill.  Was this to save him from crashes?   The kids and I made up songs and jokes to "Jesus Truck" for about 50 miles.

 I must say Indiana has much better summer weather.  I'm glad to be home.

 Ok, time to dish.  I want to hear all the stuff I've missed in the last 10 days

I feel a little guilty I haven't been around much.  I've totally zoned out this past week and repaired my wits.   It's been long soaks, netflix, reading, kid playing, dog snuggling and some special weekday bourbon sipping.   ( I usually only drink on Saturdays sometimes Fridays)

 All this repairing of the mind and body now has been part one of our little vacation.  Now the kids, Nami and I are heading south for a week to S.C. to visit family.  Mr. Swampy has to work so he'll look after Sam and Frodo.  My mother will never forgive me if I don't bring my 1st dog Nami.

 I'd love to take some pics if I can find my camera charger!  grrr

Well,  get ready for the heat right SG?   See you in August unless I find wi fi somewhere.   I probably will.

Here are three clips from the costume contest.  The first one is our entry.  Unfortunately, he got caught on the gate coming in and almost lost his costume.   The second is the return at the end for ribbons...you can see he almost ripped a whole side off there.  He stepped on it outside waiting after bolting from a loud vehicle riding by.

The last video though is the one to watch though.  It's announcements of the winners and Sterling the Llama is hungry after his long day and decides to snack on my girl's hat in front of the audience.  Comedy ensues!

Summertime is 4-H fair time here in the U.S.   4-H is youth development club.  You can show a pig, make a quilt, wood work, create a lego work of art, bake....just about anything is fair game for a kid project.

The past two weeks the kids have been feverishly making  posters, making notebooks, soldering circuit kits, posing for pictures, being in parades, washing llamas, showing hamsters, and creating of all things... a llama costume!

 Yes there is an actual llama and alpaca club.  The costume show was this weekend.  My girl had to show him in an arena to a song track of her choosing dressed up.  

 She chose Viva Pinata...  anyone know that game/show?    We call him a "Llamon Drop"

It was a chore getting this thing on him... It tore several times requiring taping continuously.Sterling HATED this thing.  The other llamas in the stalls next to him were reaching their heads in to eat his costume too. 

The costume tail caught on the gate when she entered the arena showing too.  By the time judges were handing out the ribbons, he had ripped it.   

If I can figure out how to put video in this blog, I have a hilarious video of the llama attempting to snack on her hat during judging line up.  It's really cute and funny.   My girl gets so angry cause Sterling won't leave her hat alone while they're supposed to stand still in front of everyone.

 The music worked fine too.. thanks to Lucky for that      OH, she won 3rd place in her division

Well I'm doing it too.  Was it Youdiejoe that share with us recently he ditched cable? The man is here right now disconnecting my phone and cable.

 The kids are not happy. at. all.  

 Phase one complete.  Next stop: Video Games 

No punchline, really.    I have to make a costume for a Llama.   If I pull it off, I'll post a picture.  The show is in a couple of weeks.   

 For the next two weeks my kids have 4-H Fair to prepare for and participate in.   I'm also planting a flower garden sooooo  I'm not going to post any sifts or mind my channel for the next two weeks.

I'm sure insomnia will have me here late at night though.
