I didn't look too long, but do you have alternate playing methods?

You might want to look at Microsoft's Indie games for the 360. I don't know if the development side is completely free, but if it isn't much and the compatibility/code transfer isn't too hexing, it might be worth a try. (I think that has payment as well for the developers)

@kceaton1 I think we've looked at the indie games thing for another project, allegedly it's quite a hassle, but I may remember it wrong.

At this point we don't have alternative playing methods, but that's something I'd like to add.. I doubt I'll have time to add it to this edition of it though, since I'm on to other projects now.

Here's some shoot from the hip feedback:

Positive:

High production value
Bright colorful interface
Good music and sound

Negative:

Even after reading the instructions and playing a few times- I wasn't sure how the gameplay works. I connected very few blocks and the levels seem to complete no matter what I do.

Busy- lacks the simple physics of a stacking game like GlassTower2

Still an amazing effort to make a complex game like this.

Thanks for the feedback @dag. Instructions was something we discussed back and forth a lot, because many of the things aren't self-explanatory. Communicating to the user is haard.

I hope you enjoyed it - hopefully my next game will be even better.

Dang, no Lite version, I'd really like to try it! Are there any videos of gameplay anywhere I can view? I would honestly buy this just out of principle but I'm currently broke, a situation I hope to be able rectify in the coming months. I am a fan, visually at least, of anything done with Leg-err Mega Blok brick looking things with cute little blocky eyeballs.

Any possible links of what's in the pipeline for you? I play a metric buttload of games and would like to make good use of all that wasted time somehow by providing some constructive criticism.

App development is something I and a friend who knows his programming (he programmed a game server browser for the Mac, something akin to Gameranger called Adjoa Launcher) have talked about doing on and off for a few years now. He'd handle the majority of the technical stuff and I would provide my, ahem, "artistic" stylings.

Edit: I apologize Gwiz, upon further reflection I realize that that was inappropriate of me. I should've channeled that query through the proper channels and not shit all over your post. Your foray into game development had me feeling a bit over enthusiastic to the point where I made a pretty stupid netiquette blunder. Boy, I don't know which would make me feel more an ass now, you seeing or not seeing that.

I already posted a review on the itunes store but ya my biggest complaint was already mentioned here. You need clearer instructions for the users. Many of the gameplay elements were a mystery to me and I doubt that if I didn't know you that I'd force myself to learn the gameplay modes. I'd most likely move onto another game :-/

That being said you can probably address the instructions for the game very simply by embedding an instructional youtube video.

I'll tell you what, I'll whip something up for you with screen recorder in my spare time this weekend. Don't worry, no need to give me a cut of the profits! But...I'm going to name your first born now.

@AnimalsForCrackers don't sweat it. I'm still pretty early in the next game, so I won't divulge too much yet. I have a lot of ideas where I want to go, but this next one is pretty set already (actually have two in the works). I'll let you know when we'll have a sale.. hopefully soon, but I don't set the prices myself though. I'll try and push for a 1c weekend.

@JiggaJonson you can have both my first and second born if they ever get here Actually, I'm supposed to record a bunch of video from it so one of the producers can cut something together. If you want to clip something together I'd be much obliged.

Our instructions were nothing for the longest time, until we sorta realized that it's super hard to understand - you easily get caught up in being in the loop; outside people go "huh?" The help screen was made as an easy solution to alleviate that, but we probably need a bit more. Way back initially, we wanted to embed tutorial things in the first level, but it proved to be quite a bit complicated and it was cut for time concerns. It's something I'd like to go back and redo, but there we are.

In general the marketing on this is basically NULL right now, but I hope we'll get a little more word out there. I will post a more thorough guide here in my blog for y'all. Might even be able to reuse it in the description of the game

@dystopianfuturetoday Sadly I can't build it for the web.. not very easily at least.

It's also available on bada http://www.samsungapps.com/topApps/topAppsDetail.as?productId=G00000180291&listYN=Y which was initially an earlier version of the game (finished a month before the other one) but this week I've rolled the upgrades from the iphone onto this build too. It's gonna be online asap.

Congrats!

I'm picking up an Android next week; I'm not too familiar with, if it even exists, Android/Iphone compatibility. Any chance I'll be able to try it out on the Android?
