I don't get it, who are they?

I mean, they seem kinda-sorta familiar for some reason... but I'm not placing it? The cast of an anime? videogame?

They are the Team Fortress 2 characters.

Not only are they the TF2 characters, they are the really well done TF2 characters, except for the medic.

Although I missed out on it, guys from my uni dressed up as the 300 Spartans. I heard it was awesome.

I remember watching the ad on the Sift. But, I never would have made the connection.

well, having seen the source material, I will say, those are some pretty detailed costumes... very nice.
