Finally... Pics of Frankie (Plucky Tim)!
Here are some sweet pics of the li'l guy. He sure is liking the good life indoors away from the raccoons. He has to wait until Tuesday (June 10th) before he can have his "Elizabethan collar"removed. This is only the FOURTH collar we've had made for him. He keeps wearing his way though the others. The first 3 pics of him are the most recent ones of these. The others are from about 4 days ago. This is the first time I'd witnessed a kitten nursing from his mama up close, and she is such a good good mama.

I wanted to add that Friday was the first day that he's been home from my Mom-in-laws. I kept him there so that he could spend his last few days nursing from his mama. He seemed to need it after the horrible trauma that he'd been through, poor baby. They were overjoyed to see eachother. I had to supervise the nursing so that mama wouldn't lick his wounds.
Gee wiz are those stitches? Ouch. He seems to be taking it in stride though. Sad looking little tail nub, but when the hair grows back it'll look cute enough.
*happy
Elizabethan, Harhar! You've got a pretender to the crown, Queen Issy!
Seems well adjusted in a punk-ass kitty sorta way. So Timmy'll be living with Isobel? Does she play well with others?
Frankenkitteh! Quick get your torches and pitchforks!
Mommykitty looks exactly like the cat my folks have. Adorable. And plucky tim looks very sweet. He's lucky to have you.

Honestly, Isobel was very PISSED. She has always been indoors and an only kitty for four years, so I was anticipating a not-so-smooth transition for her. She is getting used to being in the same room with him (supervised, of course), but if I put Timmy on the floor near her, he scampers towards Issy (I think he thinks she'll nurse him or something), or he'll attack her tail, and she growls and runs off. It's funny to see a grown up kitty be intimidated by such a tiny kitten. We're hoping she will eventually accept him, but it may take months!

Yep. He was severely attacked at the rear by a nasty raccoon. I know it's wrong, but I have the strong desire to take a bat to that raccoon. The resulting injuries crushed something in and around the base of the spine/tail and severely wounded his rear-right leg. Even before his much-needed surgery when I'd just met him, he was running around on three legs, eating, and using the litterbox. I fell in love with him and couldn't let him die! He is getting use of his leg back, and he has no problems with his body functions. His leg is gradually getting stronger day by day. I can see it. He just won't have a tail, and really, I think it makes him even cuter!
Frankie iz in ur blog, stealin my hartz :') *sob*
^ aww.
He's bound to have an identity crisis before his 1st birthday. Frankenbutt, Frankie, Plucky Tim... I'm sure I'm missing something.
I can see a montage now of the rascal working out and getting in shape for his future rematch with the raccoon.
Aaaaawwwwwwww, too durn cute!!!
^zeph - agreed, that little heart stealing SOB of a kitten! Something that cute will possibly and karmically cause tornados and earthquakes around the globe.
I know, it's confusing. We keep changing the name, but I think we've settled on Dr. Franklin Timothy- Frankie for short- as his nomenclature. DFT added the "Dr." title. You like?
^ fitting.
How's he healing up?
^He is extremely well and happy, thanks for asking nibi! All of the fur has long grown in, and DFT even pointed out that his little tail nub wiggles!
Want more pictures, want more pictures.
Nice manicure, dft
Is the collar made from tortilla?
^lol V! Actually the collars were hi-tech hand-cut manilla file folder paper, fastened with staples. Nothing but the best! I only use Swingline.
