Hi lucky,

Sorry, I should have been more precise! Here's a more concrete example: This video (http://videosift.com/video/Disco) currently does not work on Videosift, but if you click through to Google Video you'll see that the video is still there, and using the new (updated) embed code on the Sift would work. I don't have a hard count of how many videos are like this but there's at least a handful and potentially many (haven't yet used your search!), so it's enough that I didn't want to start backing up and *deading en masse without someone important being aware of it.
Thanks again,
-Kev

What do you mean by refreshed? Do you mean replacing it with an embed from another host or is there something you're doing to "refresh" the google embed and make it work?
In reply to this comment by Kevlar:
Thanks, lucky! Appreciate all the hard work you do. It does look after all like more Google videos need to have their embed codes 'refreshed' - is there a more appropriate method you can think of for notifying people or fixing them than doing a *backup and *dead?
In reply to this comment by lucky760:
To search for embeds from just a particular video host use the "inembed:" prefix in your advanced search query. For example:
http://videosift.com/search?q=inembed%3Agoogle.com&t=v&u=&o=&vmin=&vmax=&sh=&l=&n=&b=&submit=Search

Hey, no worries - sadly, no matter how much I search beforehand I still dupe maybe 33% of the time.
Thanks for catching it!

Great find, Kevlar, but although I hate to do this to you...

Appreciate the linkage - I had missed the Ron Paul video but I'll try to catch up later.

(Edit: Clarity)
So what happens if they find this guy sleeping in a house in Yemen, far from any battlefield? Just shoot him in the back of the head, then and there, and be done with it? It sounds from the way this story is presented that the kill order extends to any circumstances which is disturbing for a number of reasons, one of which is the precedent. Then again, between this story, the gunship camera, and the video of the British Gitmo detainee interviews all being sifted within one week of each other, at least we seem to be consistent in denying due process or being quick to kill rather than detain, no matter the citizenship status or innocence/guilt of the people involved.
yes, they are talking about the targeted killing of US citizens if they are associated with Al-Qaeda. This isn't late breaking news really, about a month old.

This has to be stopped now or it will be to late; Defecation will be impacting the reoscillator.

No need to thank me,
MurrayHaldaug - it's always nice to see something new and interesting on the sift. I was going to write 'obscure', but considering the amount of people that know of / attend the ceremony that's probably a bit of an ethnocentrism to put it that way.In reply to this comment by Haldaug:
Thanks!

No worries. Sadly, I find it's usually the most controversial/dumbest sifts that actually make it to the Top 15 for me...

Nothing personal, but that was a terrible 1:04 for me to sit through.
