I just checked out S01E01 of this show because I heard it got nominated for an Emmy. I was pretty impressed. It's about people working in advertising back in the early 60s. Think Darren Steven's job in Bewitched.

I'm not sure, but I think they use real historical ad campaigns and stories and weave them into the fictional plot. This episode was all about Lucky Strike changing their ad message after the government started to crack down on them using "doctors" to say how healthy smoking is in commercials. The main character came up with "It's Toasted".
