Solar Roadways - Reality Check
Obligatory XKCD: http://www.xkcd.com/1378/
How about lots of little fans, to make the road like a frost-free fridge?
Interstellar -- Trailer
@RedSky and @Sarzy, I've seen bits of True Detective (holding off until I can watch the whole thing from the start), and yeah, he seems pretty good in that.
I don't know, though. There's just something about him that even when he's good just makes me want to punch him in the face.
As for the movie itself, the premise sounds good, but it already sounds like a lot of sci-fi magic cop outs. For a start even if we found a new planet, getting everyone off earth would be really hard. https://what-if.xkcd.com/7/
TED: Randall Munroe (XKCD) - Comics that ask "what if?"
I think they get PAX?
I enjoy both but even if xkcd just had speech bubbles choosing a favorite still wouldn't be hard. Now, a fight between xkcd and erfworld would be a much closer battle...
What the fuck? His little stick figures get a Ted Talk but goddamn Penny Arcade gets nothing? Fuck off.

A glass, or even plastic cup, half empty could be a dangerous thing at our usual air pressure - https://what-if.xkcd.com/6/
Well, some people see the glass as 1/2 empty, some see it as 1/2 full. I say "That's not a glass, it's a plastic cup." and "The cup is completely full...1/2 full with a liquid, and 1/2 full with a gas."
50 Science Misconceptions
"Correlation doesn't imply causation, but it does waggle its eyebrows suggestively and gesture furtively while mouthing 'look over there'."
- Mouseover text of http://xkcd.com/552/
Now if he had said correlation does not necessarily imply causation, or that it doesn't prove causation, I'd agree 100%... finding a correlation isn't the end of a study but it could be the starting point for one, and often has been.

"Embed code appears to be invalid"... for YouTube? (Geek Talk Post)
Yes - the problem is the missing "http:" or "https:" - neither Vimeo nor YouTube supplies the protocol in their generated embed HTML. And since those are two of the major sources of submitted content, this is a problem.
When submitting a video with a missing http:, the validation reports that it is ok, but the submitted video does not work.
It should be enough with a simple regular expression to detect and correct the missing protocol, making it much easier for new users to submit videos.

Gender Swap - Virtual gender swap with the Oculus Rift
All I can think of watching this is that it falls under interdisciplinary studies.
"Gender Identity, Queer Theory, feminist technoscience, Intimacy and Mutual Respect" -- I'm quite glad you didn't give feminist technoscience any capital letters. Apparently it does exist though, at least in basic form on wikipedia.
Surely separating yourself from the scientific and technological community at large is counter productive to the idea of feminism? The scientific "community" are only interested in if something is scientific or not and "sex" is something that happens to people who go to parties. At what point did feminism become associated with setting yourself apart as female - in an equal environment - and shouting about it?
On the other hand, if they're getting a grant to do scientific studies by calling themselves feminist, that's more cash going towards intellectual endeavours. I'd like to know what kind of science came from it, especially towards the end when they began peeking at each other's bits.

How To Break Down A Live Lobster
http://xkcd.com/1268/
Besides, the cruelty I am truly disgusted by this on a visceral level. To me lobster is a giant insect and eating it is some Fear Factor shit.

Geiger Counter Going Off the Charts in an Antique Shop
The one millisievert dose you would get standing close to the more excitable exhibits for an hour is actually not that dangerous... it's equivalent to one year's worth of background radiation. Moral of the story: Look, but don't linger.
