So, in light of the fact that there’s absolutely nothing in the way of compelling empirical evidence for the conspiracy theories, you claim that we should simply jettison (or at least substantially devalue) tiresome old concepts such as evidence, argument, reason and expert opinion. Instead, we should embrace anti-intellectualism and privilege pseudo-evidence in the form of the “opinions of everyday people.” Well, there’s a name for that: demagoguery. If we were to heed your advice, we would then see creationism (not to mention practically every other crackpot idea under the sun) being taught in publically funded schools.

You’re right about one thing though, the claims of the conspiracy theorists and their acolytes are indeed being “discounted for the sake of a certain belief” – the belief that an empirical theory needs to actually be supported by evidence.

Yes but there are a LOT of unanswered questions about 9/11 which leads to every theory under the sun. Plus the way Rumsfeld and co act its kinda hard not to think that something really stinks.

I cannot tell you how much I want to vomit every time I hear that markets are the solution to every problem under the sun. It's a myth created and perpetuated by the rich, and the brainless eat it up like the envious lemmings they are.

Fact is, friends, markets are the CAUSE of just as many problems or more of them. Lord knows it's hard enough to get by in this country, and the stinking rich want to privatize the education system, too?

29, and i'm not surprised at all. i've seen this site grow from a tiny collection of intelligent users posting interesting vids, to a HUGE collection of intelligent users, posting everything under the sun... and yet i don't see 14yr olds lip syncing to backstreet boys songs... this is the BEST thing about this site, and the reason i think we have such a loyal audience. congrats to everyone who made this site what it is today.

I'm going to go out on a limb and not completely kiss up to this. Sure, it covers some issues and contains some information, but:

1. it's a mega-snoozer, and
2. the information it contains couldn't be more obvious

What, drum beats aren't completely unique? YOU'RE KIDDING!
What, rap (among other styles) steals music samples? YOU'RE KIDDING!
What, people imitate instead of innovate? YOU'RE KIDDING!
