What Can Happen When Everyone On The Block Sells Fireworks

Tucker Carlson Attacks Jon Stewart Over Jim Cramer

Oh, Stewart, Please go after Tucker. Oh please, oh please, oh please.

Stewart already effectively got Tucker fired when Crossfire was canceled almost immediately after Stewart went on the show and destroyed it and Tucker at the same time. Tucker is the TKO'd boxer lying on the floor muttering incoherently about how could have won if his coach had let him go back in.

How to kick the shit out of somebody

MMA isn't a sport, it's a barbaric spectacle that anyone with sense wouldn't participate in. Every knockout involves brain damage.

I avoided MMA for a long time because I remembered the ads from the early days and I assumed nothing had changed. It was a pure bloodsport then: no rounds, no time limits, no gloves, no weight classes, few illegal strikes/holds.

A friend got me to watch it a few years ago and I'm glad he did. I find it's usually less brutal than a boxing match now. There's no 10-second count to see if a guy who gets fucked up will recover; if you can't defend yourself, the match is stopped immediately. The majority of fights don't end in actual knockouts. They're usually referee stoppage (TKO), a submission or they go to decision. Injury frequency is probably on par with any other contact sport (baseball, basketball, football).

I'm not trying to tell you you're wrong, because it's your opinion and you're entitled to it. But if you've never watched it because you think it's probably a brutal, nasty bloodsport (like I used to), I might suggest you give it a chance. You may find it's not what you thought.

Dude Loses Slap War

Mike Tyson The Most Unintentionally Funny Man On The Earth

Farhad2000 says...

I think you people are being overly harsh. Mike Tyson was one of the best heavy weight champions of the world scoring win after win by TKO many times in the first round of the fight. His record was 8 seconds to a KO win.

To simply speculate about a persons character or intellect based around a few media compilations of his interviews after his downward spiral is silly. The media was always in his face and Tyson was a man born from the gutter who achieved much, but is a product of where he was raised, in a broken home surrounded by crime. His best of times was when he was guided by his mentor Custer, who made he the man he was, and whose death shattered his grounding.

He is not the best of men, and he has alot of psychological problems but the man achieved far more then any of us ever will. I think he's great. Am sure this video doesn't include his last in ring interview when he opened up and said that he simply didn't have the heart to fight anymore, that he cares more about trying to be there for his kids more then himself.

Darwin Abroad--Man Knocks Self the F*** Out

Fred Phelps: George Carlin is now in Hell

10874 says...

Well, basically the idea is that all you have to do to get into Heaven is to accept and believe in Christ and your sins are forgiven. That George Carlin was an atheist and made jokes about Christianity is basically a TKO for going to Hell.

Oh, and this Phelps guy reminds me of Sharia Muslims.

Mike Tyson Punchout Speedrun

My Avatar Gets His Ass Handed To Him

rembar says...

I remember watching this fight, although I'd forgotten how bad it actually was. The smaller dude is Keith Hackney, a White Tiger Kenpo guy, and he sucks just a small amount less. Obviously, he'd never heard of leg kicks or proper punching. He broke his hand because he was swinging wild haymakers.

In fact, if you watch the end, Hackney won the fight by TKO (ref stoppage), it wasn't stopped because he broke his hand. The hand injury only stopped Hackney from continuing on in the tournament.

Ah, for the early days of the UFC, when fighters sucked and nobody knew better...

Sigh, another guy to knock out.

rembar says...

Yeah, um, Gorillaman, I'm pretty sure the Pride guys can take care of themselves, seeing as how they are, y'know, the best fighters in the world. All jokes aside, head butting, eye gouging, and all that other crap goes out the window when somebody's kneeing your head from side control. (If you don't believe me, go look at the old UFCs where many of those rules didn't exist and people tried groin strikes and stupid stuff like that without knowing the basics....KTFOed like no other.)

And Gvf, it's known as a Technical Knock Out (TKO), and is a rule used in basically all MMA matches to prevent fighters from getting the same kind of brain damage pro boxers get. Basically, since MMA has no standing 8-counts since fights are allowed to go to the ground, allowing a fight to go on after the flash KO caused by a big hit will only result in more damage for the already-doomed fighter. So, the ref stops the match after it becomes obvious that a fighter is about to get wailed on.

The Emelianenkos are not fighters, per se, because the term "fighter" implies having to fight to win. The Emelianenkos are more properly called "terminators".

Bill O'Reilly vs. David Letterman, Round 2 - Oct 27,2006

Tracon says...

So any bets for a TKO or KO in the 3rd round? For me Dave has won both first and second rounds just based on who anyone in there right mind actually likes them end of it. But i hope this goes the full fight.

BTW what does "winning" in Iraq mean? All of the violence stops suddenly and flowers begin to sprout from gun barrels?
