What makes you say it's a reboot? Looks like it's a sequel to me (main character is even Idris Elba's characters son).

That said, I see where you're coming from. I loved Pacific Rim; I didn't even know they were making a sequel and then I saw this and I was stoked... until I watched it.

And meh... doesn't do it for me. Shame they could get Del Toro back, and the less said about the shitty soundtrack for the trailer the better.

Still gonna watch it though, which is more than I can say about Justice League.

Now I have to go watch the Thor Ragnarok trailer again to cheer myself up.

I decided to double my sifting efficiency and watched https://videosift.com/video/Drone-Flight-of-the-Year to that soundtrack... they synched up like Wizard of Oz and Dark Side of the Moon... and I'm not even high! (I started the drone flight after about 50 seconds if you want to try it yourself).

Off to listen to some Joe Satriani now that I'm in the mood for real guitar.

Sweet hair feathering. Have been listening to the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack a bit on Spotify so have been getting this song in rotation a bit.

It is still the best demo and soundtrack from the scene! Btw, it is almost 20 years. The demo came out in 1993.

Gotta say, I think the killed version was much more interesting. Longer, and less annoying without the soundtrack.

That "duplicate" is taken from the same footage, but the two are edited differently (along with the soundtrack change).

This looks like a science fantasy series with a star trek soundtrack.

The music kind of makes me think of the last two Deus Ex soundtracks, the rest reminds me of Mass Effect. That's not a criticism mind you, I like both of those.
