Ah, Ya ponimayo! I actually have a tremendous amount of pictures, some of them bring back things I would rather forget though! We spent most of the time completely in the wilderness miles and miles away from anything. The closest "town" Ust' Kuyga was extremely small and it was ~ 30 miles away one we were done hiking/boating/tractoring our way through the tundra. The mosquito populations are totally out of control there by the way. It would have been difficult to breathe for how saturated the air was with mosquitoes.

it's a great language but i find it very hard. lithuanian is easier because i hear it all the time. i would recommend just watching loads of russian movies withouth subtitles to get the rhythm, then it's easier to learn what you just saw.

Ha ha ha, that's a great title It's more than just acceptable! And out of two of us you're not the only one with zero photoshop skills, so it's totally cool, and it only looks good if a mega-super-professional photoshops something anyway.

Thanks - that's right and it seems you were the first one to notice! You do know that now you're obliged to write a congratulatory Sift Talk post with heaps of praise, don't you?

Seriously though, I am looking forward a lot more to my Gold-100, as I'll be able to promote others' sifts then. And what with all the folks hitting far more impressive achievements recently (blankfists bronze star, for one), celebrating a measly gold might just feel kind of underwhelming.

Anyway, glad to finally join the club. Lets stick together, us goldies.
