I really don't see the controversy this topic raises. FUCKING DO IT and then tell us what you experienced; Stop being a bunch of skeptic pussies. The controversy WILL end when you fucks do it and see for yourselves. That is to say, obviously Rogan is not a trustworthy source but in my experience what he says i true.

It all depends on what one believes as "fact". Joe Rogan never says that what he is saying is "fact". But there are experiences that are beyond our understanding and he has had them and knows there is no way to describe them. I congratulate him for even attempting to describe the indescribable in such a subdued professional matter. Find out for yourself ; DO NOT JUDGE until you have seen.

I think you'd have to try it firsthand. I don't know, either. But it is not like other tryptamines even if they share molecular structure. NN-DMT is unlike them all.

Why do people see them and why do they "teach" people things. It's a good question. Maybe it is what McKenna said "The After-Life Machinery" or maybe it is very deep in the subconscious.

It doesn't really matter if it is "real" or not. It could drive a person crazy thinking about it after they have seen it "for real". What matters, is here is a deep mystery that anyone can experience for themselves, and it's fairly... beyond imagination.

FYI, I caught the full podcast over the weekend and I have to say that the Eddie is a total douche-bag, prone to hyperbole, and oftentimes just uneducated about stuff (you should have heard his brilliance when Joe stated talking about terraforming and life on Mars).

I should point out that I am a Joe Rogan fan, or at least, I enjoy his podcast. Joe may be a tremendous stoner and spends WAY too much time talking about drugs, but he is also VERY well read and can be incredibly insightful at times. Some of his podcasts are really amazing. This one... not so much. I've enjoyed some of VICE's shtick (especially when they went to North Korea), but they really are self-important, HEEEEY MAAAAN, douches and hearing this guy really brought out the worst about them...

Unless someone else gives me further evidence, I'm putting this report of the TED "cult" under the "suspect" header.
