Atlas Shrugged (Blog Entry by Doc_M)

Selfishness is much more complex than you may or may not realize

You have a piece of cake with 10 slices. Which of these are selfish and why?

0. You eat the whole cake yourself.

1. You invite 9 friends over to have a piece of cake.

2. You invite 9 friends over to have a piece of cake. A bum walks up and asks for a slice and you say no.

3. You invite 9 friends over to have a piece of cake. 9 bums walk up and ask for a slice and you say no.

4. You invite 9 friends over to have a piece of cake. A guy that you hate shows up and asks for slice and you say no.

5. You invite 9 friends over to have a piece of cake. A guy that has been picking on you/beating you up/stealing your cake since you were in 1st grade shows up and asks for a slice and you say no.

6. You invite 9 friends over to have a piece of cake. You have 100 other friends who you don't invite.

7. You invite 9 friends over to have a piece of cake. You know of someone who doesn't have much to eat, but they aren't one of the 9 you invite.

8. You invite 9 friends over to have a piece of cake. Millions of people starve to death every day and you don't invite any of them.

Relax, have a smoke, and look at some pictures of kittens... before you upend your desk or crush your crystal mouse collection.

And calling in gay is a fucking idiotic idea, because it equates gayness with sickness. Of course there would not be many supporters in the gay community of that, if they have half a brain.

But they are sick...

Well that's finally done it for me. If that isn't the proof that you've got no saving graces then nothing will be. I'm not even curious what you have to say anymore, ignoring you is going to be a piece of cake

Well, I submitted my thoughts and I don't think calling me a caveman is a very well thought our response. You choose to ignore instead of address. At least you stopped calling me a hater.

When you've graduated from Harvard Business School, let me know how smart you are. And figured out how to fly an F-102...piece of cake for you, I'm sure.
Now I agree he sometimes sounds retarded, but it's obvious, if you look at the facts, that he is highly intelligent.

I kid you not, this commenter is talking about Georgie W!!!^ LOL, you gotta be fucking kidding me!!!

When I'm on a plane I actually hope sometimes for the plane to crash - or have some serious turbulence - just for the experience. Nothing morbid, just for the rush.

I guess you never went on rollercoasters? I did, the scariest ones. Planes are like that.
First time I took a plane I was flying for 14 hours, Canada - Hong Kong. Piece of cake.

So yeah,
get lots of pot. Bring it with you. Smoke at the terminals.

Those of you that would always claim that thousands of people couldn't form a conspiracy because someone would spill the beans - needs to see this and read the book (which shows some of the evidence).

Damn straight. People can keep secrets and they have done so throughout history.

And there are ways to employ people to be a part of conspiracy without them every knowing it, just as the military often has projects compartmentalized so that 100 people can be working on a project, but none of them really know what that project is.

I think that happend on 9/11.

Also, any programmer can tell you that it would be a piece of cake to rig an election as long as you didn't let anybody see your source code, which is what Diebold did.

It looks like you're going through the most boring parts of America on your way to AZ.

Would you say he's going from A to Z to get to AZ?! Huh?! Huh?! Hahahahahaha...haha... hee... ahem. [crickets]

Dude, I drove from NC to CA back in '99. It's a piece of cake. Be sure you don't have retread tires on your vehicle, because once you hit the scorching flat highways of New Mexico and Arizona, that hot pavement will loosen the retreads. It happened to me doing about 50 mphs hauling a jeep behind a jeep, and the jeep being towed lost its retread. The fact is I never knew it had a retreaded tire! Cheap dealer could've cost me big. Anyhow, just a word of caution.

They touch gloves now beforehand for that.. some even touch gloves after as well to show that "this isn't official and i am doing it because i must, i genuinely respect you" kinda thing... I think i've seen them doing that, but i could possibly be mistaking something, and of course it depends what boxing/fighting league you're talking about.

Even when people touch gloves after the bell when you're supposed to "come out fighting", every non-idiot does it cautiously.. not run in like a toddler chasing a piece of cake with your arms out like you can just reach it.

US headed for fiscal crisis? Comptroller says yes

curiousity says...

Rabid government overspending combined with a rapidly dropping value for the dollar. Oh, good times ahead.

Actually there is a bright side. I'm studying something that I will be able to do abroad if needed and then it will be a piece of cake to pay back my student loans which will be in dollars and I'll be earning another currency.

Although, I really just rather made efforts to fix this issue because I enjoy living in the US and don't want to leave. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of faith in politician to stop spending money that isn't theirs...
