Shark Tank - Biggest Offer Ever - Nasal Screens

Wow - 4 million dollars for nasal shields - hmmm. I would have jumped on that.
Death Penalty For Rebellious Children? -- TYT
It's idiots like Fuqua that make conservatives look so bad. Just like in any political party there are always some hardcore morons, but it is not necessarily representative of the entire party. Idiots like Fuqua need to be called out and excised from public service.
However it upsets me that Cenk is using this idiot as an example of the entire party. It's like me thinking that all democrats are overweight, olive skinned Greeks with borderline pompadours as well having annoying nasal qualities when they speak because of him. And lord knows those Greeks know a thing or two about how to handle an economy.
That's your democratic party.
Gigantic Booger removed from Nose
I wonder if this is a retained/infected nasal tampon or sponge, either post-operative or from severe prior epistaxis. Acute or chronic sinusitis should not have this presentation without the presence of a foreign body.

Well. I have no idea the context of this or what the fuck just happened. But it was gross.
...but hey i just learned about Nasal Speculum so... Rule 34 here i come!
QI - What's The Best Way To Weigh Your Own Head?
But... This method doesn't take into account a difference of bone density or size of mouth and nasal cavity. This would measure a mass, but not weight. Even then, with the inner mouth and nasal cavity, not even that would be correct, unless you did it with your mouth open and sucked water into your nasal cavities, (effectively drowning yourself.)
This was the method I first thought of ass well, but then started to poke holes in the theory before they got to the answer. They are guessing using an "Average density." The number they claim to be the average would be the one factor that eliminates the outcome of getting a true weight.
Daniel Radcliffe Side By Side With Susan Blackwell
DR is a bit of a nerd. I hear him constantly exhaling with huffy, gasping, nasal laughs. He's like a real-life spitty, messy, English Sheldon Cooper.
Ron Christie destroyed on Real Time
"Parrot" is right. I can't tell if it's his nasally voice or his tendency to deliver his BS in over-dramatic near-whisper, but he comes off as an extremely condescending and phony tool. His stance that Democrats promised things to the American people and didn't deliver was predicted near the beginning of Obama's term to be the main Republican talking point in 2012 as the Repugs joined in unanimity and became the "party of no". Unfortunately, Obama and the Democrats either ignored their mandate and capitulated on everything, or showed their true colors as the sellout blueblood corporatists they really are.
Either way, this guy is nothing but a Republican prag.
Feeding a baby wasabi

Cry me a river. The ideas you have about this are dumb.
Your brains apparently don't understand the concept of context and severity.
First, "the burning sensations of wasabi are not oil-based, they are short-lived compared to the effects of chili peppers, and are washed away with more food or liquid. The sensation is felt primarily in the nasal passage and can be quite painful depending on amount taken."
[i.e. - digestion isn't a problem. the kid won't have an upset tummy or burning curry butthole later]
Furthermore, "Wasabi is a Japanese horseradish which can range from dangerously spicy to mildly spicy."
Therefore. If you start with a small amount of weak wasabi and mix it with soy sauce or the like, what you get is.. SOMETHING NOT THAT HOT/SPICY.
[plus that baby is wearing american flags on his pajamas which means it probably wasn't even TRUE wasabi. i.e. some weak ass horseradish paste]
Second, this probably isn't the first time these parents have done this since the baby doesn't seem too surprised and he takes it well. They probably knew the outcome.
Third, they didn't force the kid to finish it like THIS terrible shitty mother.
So again, context [knowing your kid can handle it] and severity [not forcing a fistful of wasabi on the kid].
Sorry Dr. Kilpatrick, i did not realize i was quoting a pediatric. You must have a vast superior knowledge of infant/toddler physiology. How about you put wasabi in one eye and lemon in the other and let us know which one hurts more.

Cool, did not know that. The one we get to hear most often is the ghoti = fish example for unphoneticness of English.

How about Ladle Rat Rotten Hut?
Your point about the sounds shifting is interesting, I've noticed that if I watch a long enough (subtitled!) Dutch movie, by the end I can pick up a few words which are similar or the same as English once a few sounds are changed a little.

I've onyl read ballads and such from these periods, I can read middle english Ok, old english: Not really, only if I really get into it and learn some symbols again. Reading frisian is far easier than understanding it by hearing, the same probably goes for swabian. Most of the times you just have to shift some different sounds to certain letters and you've got an approximation of a more standard german.
The northern german intonation (of their dialect) however is hell for me to understand, that's completely different, as you said. Swabian is spoken more softly and sonorant in the back of the throat, whereas northern german sounds 'headier' and nasal to me.

Have you ever read any old or middle English? I studied "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight", which is middle English, but old English should be a bit closer to Frisian... which as I read it would be about as far from swabian as you can get?
In reply to this comment by DerHasisttot:
Hehe. I had to think about it for a second before I knew what he meant with "gopfertamti." A northern german would have been unlikely to understand the phrase, but my dialect (swabian) and his dialect (high alemannic) are related: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alemannic_German (It's funny to hear french people from the Alsace with a related dialect in a different language.)
That's also why you can't get a translation from the internet, it's more of a dialect than a variant.

Guy Sounds Just Like Freddie Mercury
He doesn't have anywhere near as severe an overbite as Freddie... but he's certainly got the pipes... wonder if he can write an amazing hit song (or 12!) like Freddie could..

Gotta wonder if him looking alike helps him sound more like him. Nasal structures, shape of the mouth, etc. I don't see the point in lip syncing something when you're trying to use it as an audition, if they believe it, you're SOL if they call you up.

What vaccines are given through I.V.?
For the non-medical, 'intramuscular injection' is where you just stick it in your arm, while 'subcutaneous' is under the skin; those two or a nasal sprays are the routes I'm familiar with. The choice of route is important (slower release, etc.). Having to give something via I.V. is kinda serious business.

When you administer a substance intravenously, the entire quantity is delivered into the bloodstream instantaneous. So why are comparing it to ingesting where the process is slow and little is even absorbed?
