Soon enough that dog will be walking on two legs. That's how we did it. When we ran out of trees and Eastern Africa started to dry out, it was time to head down from the trees and start looking for a new place. Only problem is that we were not tall enough to see over the grass and bushes across the land, as potential pray, we adopted the meerkat stance; which allowed us to use our hands for other things over time... and then came the iPhone and ruined our evolution process.

I like how people think they can actually rid the world of religion. You might as well rid the world of humans. You might could get rid of Christianity but something else would eventually come along and replace it. To me the whole reason John says Imagine there is no religion is because you have to imagine. Ohh and Religion does not equal war, humans do. We naturally group up and ostracize others. Just ask the meerkats. Oh and I guess our other primate relatives.
As far as atheism and ideology is concerned I would say that it is not one. However it is very short from being one. All it needs is ritual and for atheists to unite under a weekly meeting. Not to mention to try and persuade non-atheists to join.
Life is shit fellas. And as much as I would like a perfect world without violence of any kind it will never happen. Just us much as others would love a perfect world without religion. I guess will have to just imagine.

if you ever watch meerkat manor there's a couple of times the "whiskers" face off against deadly snakes. Meerkats seem to handle the venom much better than people, but it can still be deadly or at the very least extremely debilitating.

National Geographic needs to drop this commentator(not the first one of their documentaries he's ruined), its an educational documentary, not America's Funniest Home Videos.

Damn. And that was a good one too. I tried to find a replacement, but the video is too niche. Thanks for letting me know.
