Saturday morning cartoons taught you collectivism! (Politics Talk Post)
I was hugely influenced by cartoons. Not so much this particular cartoon, but there were many I followed religiously and many I tried to emulate in real life, whether that meant acting out the characters and stories with friends or playing with the action figures.
Also, I think there's a trust built between you and the characters of the show even though they're not real, and as child you can make that distinction, but the importance of their roles in each serial episode are adventurous and exciting and you can't help but look up to them. If He-man told me smoking was bad, I'd believe it was bad, but that doesn't mean when I turned fourteen and started smoking that I was thinking of He-man's words. But, subconsciously I thought smoking was bad, and by smoking I knew I was doing something bad, even though both my parents smoked and that wasn't considered bad.
ASPCC for Cheating Men
A wise black man told me one day to never call him a dude.....he asked, "You know what dude is?? A dude is a Boston faggot!"...I trusted him, and now I know it's true!
Mormon Marriage Madness
>> ^peggedbea:
alot of very recent mormon cinema is actually really well done.
soooooo much better than the mormon movies my parents bought us in the early 80s.
>> ^MaxWilder:
I don't think there were any non-mormons in that video. Just non-practicing mormons.
I saw Singles Ward without knowing it was about mormons and learned a lot about their bizarre subculture. Much of the movie was pretty funny too. This video made the movie look much worse than it was.
Man, tell me about it. I was raised Mormon, the satire and comedy in that movie isn't too far from the truth, especially on the way Mormons view people who aren't Mormon or who quit their church.
MikesHL13 Gets a Diamond! Accidentally cuts self on edges. (Standup Talk Post)
Far out man, pass me da mic, mike check 1 2, 500 numbers, that would be a bit overdue, yet it is yer star point count as of today (eh 2 days ago), so better say five hundred times hooray:)
Muslim girls collide with Teeuwen
Yes westy, you noticed the leading production & remedial camera techniques as well?? I dunno man, for me the bhurka is a symbol of asshole Persian males treating their women like pieces of shit, but I suppose that's my twisted view of the cave-dwelling, Trogliditic Muslim religion.

Really? You honestly haven't heard that? I've heard it many times, especially when I lived in California. Sometimes, if Atheists or Agnostics are bothered by the outcome of some morally significant legislation, they pull the "separation" doctrine out like it has some type of relevance. I'm too lazy to find a source, but I promise that I'm not making this stuff up.

I am very much in support of people who are gay, but I am slightly sick of hearing that when people make voting decisions based on their beliefs, they are somehow violating the "separation of church and state" doctrine.
Really, you've heard people make that argument more then once? Enough times to make you sick of it? If you can find some example that would be awesome, because it seems like a straw man to me.

Dick Cheney Slams Obama Policies
Is this wise man the same guy who can't remember where he was, or what he was doing, on the morning of September 11, 2001?
This man expects me to respect his foreign policies...regarding Afghanistan?
(I saw you too, there, Rummy...I have not forgotten)
You know, it's a wonderful thing how we can keep that piece of shit Cheney alive for maybe...the 50 years behind bars that he deserves.
I said that.
Alan Grayson Schools Georgia Republican On The Constitution
OMG the smart man asked me mean questions! The constitution must seem like such a pain in the ass to those folks.

"But you're just a man like me, and I killed you. Forgive me, comrade. Say that for me. Say you forgive me! Oh, no, you're dead! Only you're better off than I am — you're through — they can't do any more to you now. Oh, God! why did they do this to us? We only wanted to live, you and I."

The Largest Street Gang in America
Holy crap, thanks for posting, really messed up stuff, understandably some abusive cops do not reflect the true nature of all. But, the park arrest - wtf, that is seriously messed up!
![](https://videosift.com/vs5/emoticon/frown.gif)
Oh and police around the world aren't necessarily like this - the cops who tazed and shot a bleeding burnt crash victim....should be jailed. I don't care if they don't understand why, what they did was despicable.
'I kept thinking, I don't want that man near me...' 'if he had complied I started to think...what then?'
It's a shame the system is broken to what it is now...and worst too many people will simply assume 'they must have done something to warrant an arrest, being shot, tazed etc' hopefully Youtube etc will make this more and more difficult for abusive cops to get away with this.
But I doubt it
Nine Policemen Can't Take One Man Sitting Peacefully
"police taser sitting man" got me to a blog of someone who says they called police and asked about the story:
http://theflashscoop.tumblr.com/post/163105431/excessive-use-of-force-in-folsom
"The officers were called to the scene by a neighbor. The man who was tased apparently spent the entire morning on his front lawn screaming racially charged remarks at the top of his lungs. Among the things he yelled were: “White Power!” and “Heil Hitler!” The officer was not sure what ethnicity the man was, but he informed me that his name appeared to be of hispanic origin. He was not a black man, contrary to some reports.
The first officers arrived on the scene. These were a mixture of different races (black, white, and hispanic). The man on the porch screamed racial slurs at them. Furthermore, he screamed “Shoot me motherfuckers!”, “I bet if I had a gun you would shoot me, maybe I should go get my gun!”, and other variations on this theme.
The officers identified this as a mental health issue but also realized that he seemed imbalanced enough that he might be dangerous. They called a negotiator to the scene to try to subdue him. The negotiator tried to talk him into calming down for 15 minutes to no avail. The commanding officer on the scene then decided that it was in the interest of the public’s welfare and the man’s own welfare to take him into custody and get him medical attention.
The man on the porch was advised ahead of time that he would be tased. Finally, we got what we saw on the video. Immediately after the tasing, the man was transferred to the hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. The police then transferred him to a mental institution. The entire incident lasted 17 minutes.
Finally, according to Folsom Police, the taser was set at a non-lethal level. According to Folsom Police, officers are tased several times in training, and that, in their opinion, there was no excessive use of force in this incident."
The Ricky Gervais Show - Where Evolution Failed
God Karl Pilkington is a twat, so much of a twat I can't even list the ways this man riles me with his inherited celebrity.
For a fantastic real example of how evolution has actually failed us read Galapogas by the late great Kurt Vonnegut. It's narrated by a ghost
