Oh I don't know, she is a Harvard grad. "Leon" was excellent (although 15 years old now) and so was "Closer." If you're talking about her role as Padme, I'd blame that on George Lucas moreso than anyone else. He couldn't elicit a decent acting job from any of his actors in the prequels. He has no business directing anymore.

I will concede she did a piss poor job in "V for Vendetta."

It's amazing how important these guys are to us, and how as soon as they do their voices in public, they get a flock of people giving them respect. I imagine it's like nothing else, when you can wander around almost incognito, and as soon as you do a voice and tell them it was you, they'll treat you like a god for the impact you had on their childhood.
I know if a guy told me he was egon spengler and did the voice and i believed him, he'd be treated reverentially by me.. Same for stuff like TMHT (TMNT) voices.
