Bill Burr: This is like the Oscars for Prostitutes
What the fuck is this? An interview with Burr sponsored by Kellogg's, and General Mills, and Pepsi? (Yes, Pepsi owns Quaker Oats.)
Was Bill told that he was going to be in a Big Sugar ad for breakfast cereal masquerading as an interview?
I hope he was paid for appearing in that *commercial.
Frosted Flakes Commercial -- Police Malfeasance
Seems like some special agenda group that have made some crazy video's and a website that links back to the official Kellogg's website?

The REAL Reason You're Circumcised
I've known the whole "Kellogg was a puritanical nutjob" origin for a long time now.
It's probably why I find the whole thing so distasteful.
Sorry, but it is intentionally cutting off part of a human for no good reason. Just because people were misinformed previously or they thought the invisible sky father said they should doesn't justify it. As far as I'm concerned, it's equivalent to bound feet (although obviously nowhere near as painful).
It is barbaric, especially the orthodox Judaic version, which adds unsanitary and frankly kinda creepy to the mix too.
Try this thought experiment.
We have discovered a new island in the middle of the pacific. Miraculously, they have had no contact with the outside world since humans arrived there. When we arrive we find all the women are missing their left nipple. It turns out this is ritualistically cut off at birth. "It's not a big deal" they say. "the baby gets over it quickly and it doesn't affect them in later life".
Ok with this?
While I agree it's improper, I think 'barbaric' might be a little far in most cases. I feel like now it's mostly due to good intentions paired with misinformation, a little religious preference, and just a dash of surgical 'barbarism' for aesthetics. Perhaps there should be at least a push to re-educate the doctors and suggest they actually discuss the pros and cons with parents, not just ask 'you want?'.
Somehow I feel if it were up to the individual once they were of age that there would be a lot fewer of them. ;-)
I did find it interesting to learn it's hilarious 'origin' here in the US though.
Mel Brooks summed up our economic policy in three words
That's not what progressive means, in this context. A progressive tax system is one where you pay a (progressively) higher rate when you have more income.
The US Income Tax is a Progressive tax, exactly as you described and exactly what I said. Since our current tax code has the bottom 50% of wage-earners paying only 5% of the Income taxes, than that's a Progressive system. I nailed exactly what it meant. Whatever you're saying here sounds like a distinction without a difference.
I know that quite a few of your companies weasel their way out of paying any tax at all, but I don't know how many overall manage this.
http://www.kellogg.northwestern.edu/accounting/papers/Hanlon.pdf
Yup. It happens. This particular study suggests that once a company becomes 'big', they find ways to jigger the system to the point where they are paying around 20%. Obama just dropped the corporate tax from a staggering 35% to a more realistic 28%. Hopefully that will make it so companies are compliant, rather than gaming the system to get around the "too high" rate that previously existed.
However, the real problem is in companies that are getting massive political payola. Every administration has companies like this. For Obama, it is sleaze-mongers like Immelt and GE who are pushing the bologna that is "Green Energy", which Obama likes - so he gives them so many tax breaks and subsidies that they paid ZERO taxes in 2011. Not to mention they also got massive subsidy payments on top of it. It is that kind of bogusity that ticks people off.
A reasonable corporate tax rate is fine. Set it at a decent level - say 22% - and get rid of the loopholes, subsidies, foreign incorporation, and all the other gimmicks. I dont' have a beef with "taxes" in general. I have a beef with taxes that are too high, and tax codes that encourage modern patronage.
The Top Ten Cereals of all Time
@Sagemind I agree with most of your comments except Frosted Flakes. I like them and plain corn flakes too. And Golden Grahams, not only are they good , so are Graham Crackers.
All the junk cereals are very expensive, it seems like the more sugar is put in them the higher the price. I try to pay no more than around 60 cents per 100 grams but cereals like Lucky Charms are closer to $1.50. My guilty pleasure is catching Fruit Loops on sale.
And is anyone else old enough to remember how corn pops used to be marketed. When they were called Sugar Corn Pops and their marketing jingle went as follows
"Oh the pops are sweeter and the taste is new, They're shot with sugar through and through. Kellogg's Sugar Corn Pops, sugar pops are tops" (Sometime's my trivial memory is a curse). I'd like to see them try that one now. Now they're marketed as nutritious. Ha
President Obama Plays a game of H.O.R.S.E. w/ Clark Kellogg
No way. He's just a guy who loves basketball! He was walking by and saw Clark Kellogg and was all like, "Man, is that Clark Kellogg? I'm gonna challenge this playa to a game of horse."
And even if it was fake, so what?! Seriously?! News flash, presidents sometimes do political things and stuff and... and... um... commercials are fake, too!!!!1!!11! STOP TURNING EVERYTHING INTO A CONSPIRACY!!!1!!!1

Obama shootin hoops and talkin smack
Maybe Obama likes basketball and wanted to hang out and shoot hoops with Clark Kellogg? And why waste his presidential time when he could plop some cameras and mics down and get some work done.
It's a bit redundant to point out that it's "staged" of course it's staged, he's the fucking president. Every minute in his day is "staged".>> ^blankfist:
What's fake? He likes basketball. Good for him.
But this wasn't just an impromptu game of horse with Clark Kellogg. It was staged. And that's fine, but when I asked a question the fucking Democrat army crawled from their huddles brandishing insults.
Look, there are multiple cameras. Some cams are on jibs or cranes. Everyone is mic'ed with a lav. If you ever worked in film or tv production, you'd understand all of that takes time and money and planning to put together, so there's certainly something more to this than just a silly game of horse to show Obama is a man of the people who likes basketball. Is it an Alex Jones conspiracy? Obviously not.
