What's good about it, you ask? The music. The opening credits. The burning cows and other various sight gags. The design and rendering of the martians. The gleeful gore. The zany goings-on.


Such is what I noticed this time around, a lot I never noticed the previous viewing. They just make fun of a lot of situations, how agencies handle things etc.

I'm a huge fan of this movie and I'd say it's not really funny at all. Or at least Jack Nicholson is not funny at all. This scene donesn't feel very Tim Burton. It feels like they were trying to keep as much footage of Jack in the movie as possible and that's not how you make a funny/good movie. This might be the only movie where he's one of the worst things about it.
