The Walking Dead - Michonne Saves Andrea

Ryjkyj says...

Well again, it didn't really follow the story at all, but that was certainly a cool introduction that presents Michonne as the badass she is.

Can't wait to see the anemic, starving, L.A., cookie-cutter actress they got to play the weightlifting, skull-breaking, scumbag-torturing lawyer. Or hear the, "oh, wait, but she is a good choice because she's a size-zero-and-a-half instead of a size zero" defense for why they cast her.

Edit: Found her, she actually might be a good choice, crazy.

Adult Cat to Noisy Kitten: Shut Up!

She purposely strands the kitten on a high table so it can cry in fear. Great.
Kitten IS cute. But perhaps she could've chosen a less torturing method.

I thought that at first--but maybe she put the kitten where the older cat couldn't reach it.
Possibly the first introduction?

Hmm perhaps that's the case. The older cat certainly is being a bitch.

Theory of Everything (intro)

Good point! I changed the title to reflect what the YT post shows.

>> ^jonny:

If the series were a book entitled "Introduction to the Standard Model", this video would be the prologue. I think swedishfriend was expecting chapter 1 (or perhaps the Cliff's Notes).
>> ^critical_d:
I think it's an intro in the sense that the forthcoming videos from the author will go deeper into the topic of the Standard Model.
Otherwise I am not sure what you mean by "wrong embed".>> ^swedishfriend:
this was an intro to the intro... wrong embed?

Bolero - Brass Band Berlin - Fun Introduction of Musicians

Grimm says...

I felt the same way at first...but they one me back with the ending. I felt overall it was sift worthy...but agree the 1 min dixieland version could have been left out. From what I understand all the numbers performed by these guys are done with the idea of having fun with the piece and with a sense of humor.>> ^jqpublick:

Here are my thoughts for the first 6 minutes and three seconds of this video:
"Wow, this is actually pretty good, the band's not bad... a few flubs but not too bad, but it's a difficult piece... hey nice! soprano sax... now the band's all here, are they -- oh God, no oh shit no, nonononononono... "
So. No upvote from me, unless I can colour it hubris.

A teens introduction to an LP record

Totally staged. And horrible acting.
And on that note, I explained 8-track tapes to my 13 year old daughter recently.
That was fun. Of course she thought they were a stupid idea, but then...they were.

Not "horrible" acting.

A teens introduction to an LP record

davidraine jokingly says...

>> ^Samaelsmith:

I'm also curious about the strange logic that if you drop a cd once it is ruined, but you can drop an lp more often because it's bigger.

It's because contact with the floor only affects a certain area of an object that grows over time. So a CD, which is pretty small, is totally ruined by the time you pick it up again. This is also where the "5-second rule" comes from: The average bite of food has to be in contact with the floor for about five seconds before it's completely ruined.

The Worst Church Singer Ever!!

longde says...

The introduction is hilarious, where he builds up the song like it'll the second coming: "This song has made me pretty famous over the years". And to top it off, he reveals it's the last song in a set.

This has got to be a Tim and Eric skit. Gotta be. If not, then that piano player deserves a purple heart.
