Very true, you just cover one eye to appreciate it, then it's awesome. It's a version of the hollow-face illusion. If you've never made a little Gathering for Gardner paper dragon, it's so worth it.

Yeah, maybe it's the grid lines or the lighting but it was pretty clear to me how it was built. I wasn't fooled like I have been many times before by better optical illusions.

I don't think it's ever intended to be a puzzle. It's a "fun to play around with" item. Nicely put together, from what little the video can show, and not particularly astonishing to anyone over 10, but I'd definitely love to have one on my shelf for people who haven't seen them. I'd put it next to the hollow-face dragon.

It does look a little like the Key to Time. Would be interesting to see one in translucent plastic.

Last year I dress all in black with black gloves and hoody. Under eath I wore one of the black hollow face masks. I also carried a small stuff puppy.

Nobody got it.
