Dash Camera Catches Cat Fight!

Retroboy says...

I was seeing that very last bit as "Dammit enough of you. You get the HELL in the house!". Otherwise he wouldn't have brought it all the way back across the road.

Spouse's cat, most likely. Unspayed and cranky. Hates him. Continually stares and growls at him. Shreds his slippers. Chews the corners of his briefcase after pissing on it. Tries to get underfoot when he's carrying in an armful of groceries. Yowls at nothing at 3AM. Dreams of putting a yarn tripline at the top of the stairs. Poops next to the litterbox whenever the spouse is away. Hides his car keys next to the radiator in hopes that the car remote starter will melt. Has been secretly training in a correspondence course in opposable thumbs so it can knife him to death in his sleep.

Yeah.

Eight Signs Your Cat is Actually A Dog

xxovercastxx says...

Reminds me of my first cat from way back when I was a little kid. Rather than a string, we used to play with a jump rope that one of the handles had broken off of. He would grab it and tug on it, growling and shaking it with his ears back like a dog. I'd drop my end after a minute and he'd march it back across the kitchen floor like a lion with a fresh gazelle.

Kid Attacked by Pet Dog in Street

A10anis says...

Looked like a rottweiler cross. Just another example why dogs initially bred for their ferocity, tenacity, and fighting ability, should be totally banned. Chipping and/or licensing will not work, they will be ignored. And PLEASE don't drag out the old argument that it is the owners fault. Of course, any dog can be made vicious, but these dogs are not bought by owners who want a companion. They have owners who want them for protection, intimidation and status. These dogs are highly strung, impulsive, unpredictable, and give little, if any, warning that they are about to strike. How many adults, children, police, or other dogs, need to be maimed before action is taken? Look at the statistics on the breeds that attack. The latest one shows that guide dog attacks have gone up to 8 a month and the breeds, generally, responsible are fighting dogs. I own a Tamaskan (A big dog derived from sled dog ancestry). There are four bull terriers in my neighborhood and when we pass EVERY one of them strains, snarling and growling to get at him. I pray each time that their leads don't break.

Kemah Likes to Hang Out

Indeed, plus, pits just love to bite and hang, that is what they were bread for (well bull dogs were and the bread is part bulldog). This is just a vertical game of tub of war, the dogs personality determines how noisy he gets in the growl area. Really, this is just a dog and his master having some harmless fun, and getting out some of the energy safely from a bread with a lot of power...which is a good thing! In my games of tugowar, I have gotten my hand munched a few times, the dog hear me scream in pain and knows to stop. Some might say it is a bad idea to teach a dog to bite to have fun, and there is some wisdom in that...but some does just love to do things like this and it will just frustrate them if you don't. Dogs are like 8 year old's, you need a plan, but that plan has to be adaptable to the state of the kid/dog.

What Not To Do With Your Pet Rottweiler

Porksandwich says...

Got a dog like that, except it'll do stuff like that while we're playing. It might even nip, give a quick soft bite with it's teeth...never hard enough to hurt just register that you've been tagged.

And as soon as I change my posture and movements, dog changes her attitude wagging her tail. So......not really scared if my dog does something like that. Now if you have a dog that acts like that to strangers...probably end up with a dead dog when police arrive.

Just to emphasize, my dog does not act like that with strangers. She'll bark at them in an "you've been seen!" kind of way but no growling or teeth showing. So it's entirely possible this dog has been taught to act like that when people reach slowly for their toys.

How to pull cat from snowbank

moodonia says...

My cats carried on like that when it was raining "LETMEIN!!!LETMEIN!!!!LETMEIN!!!!" In the 30 seconds it took to go open the door they made sounds like they were being torn apart.

One of them discovered a call/growl close to a baby crying that (first few times) got everyone running out of bed to see what terrible thing was happening, and she is like "oh hai".

Gotta love the little shits.

The Crow made the two Cats fight!

Xaielao says...

I once had a cat that ruled our neighborhood. I strongly remember one late night, when I was hanging out with a friend and my cat got into a fight under the house. But it wasn't a little cat brawl.. you can hear the two cats banging against the pipes under the house, growls and hissing. It was a real knock down drag out fight, some other cat must have tried to take over his favorite spot. Was one hell of a brawl.

Later he came inside, not a scratch on him. I felt bad for that other cat.
