You were scared of it? I was like 6 years old when I saw it and I loved that flying furball! I even got a dog now that looks like him.

That's a nice story too.

Yeah, it's funny how the little furballs grow on you and sneak their way into your heart. They become irreplaceable members of your family. Thanks for sharing your story. It's good to have friends of both the hominid and non-hominid variety.

A very nice story Kronos.

Your Homer reminds me of a former kindred kitty furriend that I once knew. His name was Murdoch, and he was a retired creme-colored Persian show cat. I met him by accident, and he wasn't actually my kitty to begin with, but a neighbor's. I would sometimes be sitting on a bench outside, and I'd see him come into the yard and I could make him jump up and sit right next to me just by tapping the bench! He also knew the sound of my car and would be waiting right in the driveway looking right up at me from where I opened my car door. He showed me trust and love that I didn't really see him show anyone else. I don't know what happened to him, because one day he just disappeared. I tried to find him, but I think he went away somewhere and died of old age. I cried a lot because I didn't get to say goodbye to him :*(
It's funny how these furriends pick US human animals, not the other way around!

And funny. I love the Tidy Cat bucket, because that's what I used to buy. It reminds me of the only cat I ever owned. He was a big fat white stray I found, so I dubbed him "Homer". And he was the BEST cat in the world. (No offense, Issy.) He was affectionate as hell. I have a beard, and when I laid on the couch to watch the tube he'd jump up on my chest and start nuzzling my face with his.

One time during the summer a moth got in our apartment. It started flying around one of the lamps in the living room, and old Homer just sat there and watched him for at least 10 minutes. Suddenly he shot his paw out at the moth and CAUGHT him, and munched him right down. It was one of the coolest things I've ever seen a pet of mine do.

Poor old Homer died a few years ago from bone cancer in his jaw. I still miss that kitty.
