Maybe you've just watched the wrong movies. He tends to get typecast alot, but he's a decent actor.

This Jonathan Ross interview (the only live Borat one I know of) aired on BBC One last night (hence the title, Friday Night With Jonathan Ross!) It's a little uncomfortable in places, but funny overall.
