Thank you thank you thank you to both you and @hpqp

There was actually a little bit of chat at the start of each of the three vids, but you picked the most interesting one

"Never fear, your friendly neighbourhood frogspeaker's here!

girl: I could see you winning The Voice (French TV vocal talent contest show)

David: You'd see me winning The Voice, really?

girls: Yes. (short "really?" "yes" exchange)

David: And you, when you're older, would you go on The Voice?

girl: no.

David: Why?

girl: Because I'm already taken. (this was pretty garbled, so not 100% sure, but I think what makes the singer laugh is that the girl is implying that one goes on The Voice to get noticed and thus get a girl/boyfriend.)

David: *laughter* In any case, thank you, thank you for having said it (for having spoken your mind)

Voilà, hope this helped!"

Whoa! Dig the avatar! How on earth did you do that?

Anyway, not why I'm here. Have a look at these three videos... firstly because I think you'll like them : But also because I'm curious about the conversation between David and the two little girls in the park (Lise and Victoria)... and I really struggled to catch it. So, if you can work out what they're saying, please tell!

Ah, merci beaucoup!! I'll relate this to @oritteropo. He wanted to know and asked me! <3
How are you, by the way? I still hope you'll come into the lounge one day and we'll laugh and speak of many amusing things, like testicles. Aren't they silly looking??

: Bonjour! Can you figure out what they're speaking in French in this link? It's the first video, first part. He's speaking to the two girls about something and I can't make out what the little girls are saying!

Julian Assange helps a falling old man

L0cky says...

>> ^gwiz665:

Assange and wikileaks are two different things, but it doesn't hurt that he's a nice guy, does it? While it should have no bearing on what wikileaks does or is, it doesn't hurt. And it might even cast some doubt on the rumors that he's doing it for personal gain. Furthermore it makes his person look better, seeing as people only know him from hit pieces and fearmongerers.
But then, I'm just sayin.

Only this will never be shown to the people most likely to think Assange is the devil incarnate; it was broadcast in France; isn't French TV a black hole of nasty liberal information to the US?

Just sayin!

Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence - Promo video from the WTC

Hybrid says...

I had initially mistaken this WTC version as the original video (hence the URL), but after looking on Wikipedia I discovered this was filmed by French TV, rather than it being an official promo video.

Regarding the official video, I dunno, I really like it. Great director with some pretty iconic imagery now.>> ^ulysses1904:

One of my favorite songs of all time, thanks for posting this. I like this video better than the other version, with the king carrying a lawn chair up a mountainside, or whatever it was.

The Cure- Boys Don't Cry... They wear dresses on French TV!

grubert says...

During an interview with French TV, Robert Smith explained Cure's decision to wearing dresses. He said Indochine, a French new wave band, mimicked everything the Cure did, so they wanted to find out if Indochine would wear dresses too.

Must... Not... Stare... At... Cleavage.....
