http://www.metro.co.uk/news/831660-blind-dog-myron-can-still-catch-balls-and-frisbees:

The brave hound's courage has made him one of Australia's best-loved dogs.

He sadly had both eyes removed by vets when he was just a few months old, but the four-year-old Boxer/Border Collie cross still manages to have fun just like any other pooch.

His owner Raquel Wood takes him for walks in her local park in Campleton, New South Wales, where he sprints around catching toys.

Raquel believes that Myron's acute hearing, intelligence and a kind of sixth sense has helped him enjoy life to the full.

The 41-year-old said: 'We don't think Myron is disabled. He's differently abled.

'He can still catch balls and Frisbees because his hearing is so good and he's learnt through trial and error.

'Sometimes I do call out to him if he's "hot" or "cold" but not always, its like he has a sixth sense.

'He can also lie down, beg, roll over and do all sorts of doggie tricks.

'He's very smart. It's actually hard to tell he doesn't have any eyes.'

Vets recommended that Myron should be put down as a pup, as he also sadly suffers from epilepsy and is hyper sensitive.

However, Raquel and her husband Terry stuck by him and spent thousands of dollars getting him better.

Dog Pack Feeding With Patience.

Lolthien says...

Whoa whoa whoa... this is nothing like torturing them. He has a large pack of powerful dogs, and he has to be the pack leader. The minute those dogs think he's there to serve THEM is the minute they bite a four year old.

This guy is doing them a great service, and I wouldn't have been upset if he waited another five minutes. Challenge your dog, give him or her a reason to feel proud. He is not denying them food, he is making them work for it.

I for one found this to be a very impressive display. None of those dogs looked beaten or hurt. Well done guy, and some of you who think this is torture either don't have dogs, or you have dogs that you can't let out of your sight without tearing shit up.

8 Year-old Boy Has Sex Change!

The title is a bit misleading, because the child didn't have sex reassignment surgery, or a "sex change," as most people term it. I don't think any ethical physician would perform sex reassignment surgery on a child. This child would be considered transgendered.
I know the whole transgender/homosexuality subject is tricky at times. My younger brother also used to wrap towels around his head and call himself "Lindy" when he was just three or four years old. He also used to have some toys that were gender normative for girls. If you haven't guessed by now, he's gay, and he's happy being a gay man. He doesn't want to be a woman. That's why doctors would never perform sex reassignment surgery on a child, because it's way too soon for them to properly judge what they really want to be. Hell, a lot of transgendered adults aren't sure what they want to be exactly. That's why many of them are refused for sex reassignment surgery.
I grew up in Omaha, and even though it's a fairly large city (750,000 in the greater Omaha area), I bet from this report that most people will be able to figure out who this kid is anyway. It's a big small town, you might say. I wish her the best.

Yea, my "brother" did the same things. The sad thing is, I was an only child. So yea, I played with dolls, didn't have a strong father figure in my life to take notes from. The fact of the matter is, I didn't have a real sexuality before puberty. I wasn't a sexual being. I was asexual. Whatever I did was driven by learned behavior and not by hormonal directives. So, now I'm a straight male, and I'm glad my mom didn't stifle my "different" behavior, but I wasn't decidedly a female because of these things.

Cat Weightlifting (Japanese Gameshow)

I commented four years ago on that video. Another long time user also told you it is a dupe.
Yes we all remember the video.

"so I don't really care that you think that video you saw 3 years ago was exactly the same one. Prove it"

Nice attitude. All over posting a four year old video. You will do anything to steal videos.. You've lost the idea of sifting videos when you just want to steal videos and mark the originals as dead.

What kind of jerk get's told his video is a dupe and then instead of fixing a video just marks it dead so his video can stay and the four year old classic video can't even be fixed now.

I followed the link and saw the video was dead, so I marked it as such. Videos have been allowed to remain because of the slightest difference, so I don't really care that you think that video you saw 3 years ago was exactly the same one. Prove it. All I see is a dead embed.

Catchin up w Jessica (Daily Affirmation) who's now 12

Trancecoach says...

"You may not recognize this face, but there's a good chance you've seen her in a viral video called Jessica's "Daily Affirmation." In the video, a four-year old Jessica defiantly stands on top of a bathroom sink and affirms her ability to grab life by the horns.

"I can do anything good," she declares, pumping her fists and telling the mirror who's boss.

Jessica's almost a teenager now and we were thrilled to find out she wasn't too cool to do a video talk with us from her home in Los Angeles.

We chatted about her recent rise to internet celebrity, her friends' and family's reaction to the clip and what she's up to now that she's all-growns-up."

Some obscenely impressive body control/strength in NY

Bananular says...

Seriously, when Is the palm plant back-flip EVER going to do you any good? I'm more of a fan of parkour, getting from point A to B as fast as possible. I agree, these guys are insanely talented, but I don't see them running up walls, falling from heights into rolls, or doing any kind of creative EFFICIENT technique of vaulting over an obstacle. Sure, the beginning was pretty amazing when they were flipping over the railing, but then they just wanted to show off by doing handstands on it. These are grown men showing off to four year olds in a playground how many one handed pull-ups they can do. I'd put money on them being able to do more impressive stunts including more obstacles.

I can do a handstand on my skateboard while moving, jump from my hands onto my feet and keep rolling. do I get a medal? maybe they're gym rats and could break my left arm in a right handed arm wrestle, but I think my skateboard handstand requires more coordination than any of these moves.

Orangutan Escapes Enclosure by Short-Circuiting the Fence

RhesusMonk says...

Intelligence of a five year old? I just spent the year teaching a class of four year old Taiwanese kids who are fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English, and one of whom learned his multiplication tables of his own accord having only been exposed to them once before writing and rewriting them during drawing time and play time. Make no mistake, brains are dangerous in the hands (read: heads) of the young.
