Christchurch From The Streets - trailer

newtboy says...

How did the wizard fair? Was he still out there doing his thing when the quake hit? I had a great time with him in the late 80's. He was a fixture of the town at that time, I hope he's still there trying to sell his 'inside out universe' and 'upside down globe' theories, along with all the other insanity he spouted so gleefully.
It's so sad to see the damage still so bad 4 years later. Hints of New Orleans in that. It was such a beautiful place (and still is, but obviously in recovery).
One good thing though, this gives Christchurch the opportunity to become the most technologically advanced city in NZ, or even the entire southern hemisphere. Since the infrastructure needs to be rebuilt anyway, youall can do it right instead of just plastering over rust and broken concrete (like we do here in the US). Fingers crossed that it gets done the right way, and not just bandaged over with last century tech.
I SOOOO want to come back there and visit again. Most beautiful country and people (on the inside anyway) anywhere on earth. I miss it badly.

Thanks chic!!! You are so sweet and it's nice to see you too!! It's especially fun to come back when I have people here to talk to that are also online. (currently you and @ant) Now I just need to set aside some time to start posting videos again! Hopefully that will happen soon. I think I might have a little more privacy at work again in the next month or so. *fingers crossed*

Delighted to see you are around...and as usual, not the only one. But, you know that.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the day of hilarity! That was too funny. Finger crossed for -16, good luck!
Here's another point.

Did some research to find info on the competition. Here's what we're up against:

-8 votes : Big dreams, little talent
-7 votes : m2 50 cal kills a target WOOT!
-7 votes : Fred Goes to The Doctor (downvoting is cool)
-7 votes : Questions for Statists

I'd like to try to double the current bizarro #1 video and get to -16. If any video deserves it, this is it.

Bryan Cranston Scared Sh*tless in new Godzilla Trailer

Deano says...

I've got my fingers crossed for this one because I'd like to see Cranston have a huge movie hit on his CV and hopefully he's not in the margins of this.

Chinese Lunar Landing

dannym3141 says...

Fantastic. I think i see little dust devils being whipped up which is interesting just because everything is so still before the engine stirs the dust. I love how much control there was searching for a flat area. Liveleak says they stopped to survey the area.

I was just commenting the other day how in a way it's great to see things like Russia speaking out for restraint with Iran, and now China doing something very impressive on the moon. I think with fingers crossed the forward thinking people of the earth have decided against "world wars" and mass destruction (no capitals, i'm not using the word in the style of Bush Jr).

Wouldn't it be great if the "competition" came from a purely technological space race with Russia, China and US/Europe involved? Just as long as we on this side can get past the whole psychopathic-capitalism problem.

It is my opinion that those mysterious money men who seem to have influence over scary media companies are metaphorically assembling people into a human pyramid, all shitting on those below us. The ones nearer the top and clambering their way up are happy enough not to have to be hit by that much shit whilst those at the bottom are drowning in it. The pyramid is so clogged up with shit that it's forming a sea of it and the people at the bottom are happy if they can manage to tread-shit for another week, the people at the top are now so high up they can't see it happening yet but eventually we're all going to drown in shit! Here's to a Merry Christmas, folks.

No Man's Sky - New procedural sci-fi game

direpickle says...

He never really says that it's an MMO per se. He repeatedly avoided the question. The suggestion of persistence and "everyone in the same universe" could have some different interpretations. Fingers-crossed that if it's an MMO it's nothing like any ever made.

Grand Theft Auto V - First Gameplay Trailer

newtboy says...

I've gotta say I loved the biking side missions in San Andreas. Some were tedious, but most were fun and challenging. If you didn't want to do them, they were all optional, so just don't. I hope they do it the same this time, I don't want to HAVE to ride the 'Tour De' San Andreas' 20 times to progress, but I do want to do downhill mountain bike racing (fingers crossed). I also hope base jumping is upgraded with a wing suit at some point.

ChaosEngine said:

@artician How is it not a gameplay trailer? We saw plenty of gameplay.

I just hope they remember to make this one fun. GTA IV was boring.

Parts of it were excellent, both I got bored really early of playing darts or whatever. The fact that they have golf and bike riding in this doesn't fill me with hope.

If I wanted to play golf or ride a bike, I would go outside and ya know, play golf or ride a bike.

Louis C.K. Interview By James Poniewozik

CreamK says...

The last question and the answer to it was really great. If you want to succeed in show business, you have to have that "show must go on" attitude where you just don't rest until the shit is done, a genuine interest about the subject and the message. Even if it's a commercial for a local car dealer, that motivation will shine thru. If you don't have that, you're in the wrong line of work. I've never met anyone who has that passion and care to not get a job in the industry and i've seen a lot of arrogant and talented people fail miserably.

That being said, you have to use some elbows every once in a while, step on some toes and be confident of what you do. I'm advancing step by step just because of that genuine care about the message, have only got good reviews (so far, fingers crossed...) Every time i get a new show to do, i'm just so grateful to have that chance, seeing the look on peoples faces when something you did makes them dry or laugh.. That 5 seconds of shared emotion cures all pains.
