Good one, not perfection but if you hear Geddys solo tracks from the record and lately from a live, it's about that. Of course what makes it different is that Geddy is there walking and jumping, waving to the crowds AND doing this. It's quite surreal when you know how much talent there is when he takes these licks so effortlessly. And his right hand technique... It looks like a muddly mess and yet hits just the right strings at the right time. Farcry from disciplined action you see this fine lady doing in this video.

Well a good physics model has always been one of the most important aspects of the Crysis (and even FarCry) series of games. I think this is a good thing. I'm sure they'll beef up a few cars so they don't get ruined right off the bat or make sure that your control over the vehicle is such that you can make sure you won't turn it into swiss cheese in the immediate future, say 10-20 minutes if you're driving careful.

The thing to remember is that this essentially lets them develop "new" technology to use by the player "in house" using in-game mechanics and that indeed IS something we've never seen and seems quite promising and interesting to me.

Ok, the first one kinda made sense, Far Cry, Crytek, Cry engine 1.


Well, to be fair, the Crytek/Cryengine names were probably derived from the Far Cry name. the phrase "a far cry" is, after all, a common expression, meaning far from or distant, as in "This sequel is a far cry from the original". In that sense, I suppose it could be applied to any story about somebody being lost on an island, or in some african village thing.

And the difference was incredible. I hate to be a miserable arse, but trailers like this are becoming almost standard. They display absolutely nothing of substance in their advertisement of the game. Trailers like this i only watch for the story, and take nothing away about the game. They may as well film 2 lesbians going at it for 2 minutes with ea's latest title printed across the bottom.

The only thing saving this video from disdain is that it's a nice little machinima. Should be criminal when it's on a tv advert.
