The polymers excel because they are inert and largely unreactive. So - are they all bad? No. Are they all good? No. But it's too late - the fuckwits like Oliver have fueled the Emotional Response bus, and society won't stand for outdated concepts like scientific investigation or rational thought. Eight member countries of the EU are presently on track to restrict or ban all PFAS in any form, sweeping all compounds into the same category with no differentiation between a water soluble perfluorinated molecule like perfluorinated PVME and a one million molecular weight PTFE polymer. If it has a -CF2- moiety in it, it's subject to being banned. Good science doesn't matter any more, the knee-jerk fear mongerers are now making the decisions.

Yes, he's making his point quite well.
He's pointing out all the ways they follow the law and rules of civilization, even though they're sometimes inconvenient or uncomfortable, even though many laws are to protect others more than themselves. He's doing it in a way that no one ignores. He's exemplifying the selfish, outrageous behavior they are championing in such a way that they can't help but disagree with him, which MAY lead to them questioning their own actions and recognising they resemble that display he put on.

I have no idea why this touches such a nerve for you. You know, I think one of the things I find most consistently funny about Matt and Trey is their weird delivery of certain words / phrases. The clip was only ok, but that "yees" at the end was perfection. Some of the South Park delivery (particularly Cartman) was immediately memorable and caught on / was repeated pretty broadly. Their repeated use of "Derp!" in the largely-forgotten Baseketball was so excellent it ended up becoming a commonly-used word! If you've seen Orgazmo, Trey's "OH?!" in that one gets me every damn time too (and if you haven't seen it and like their general sense of humor, it's fantastic).

I can understand not digging their humor or their beliefs on some topics, but for goofy characterizations they're frickin' amazing.

As for alternatives for mine clearance. I'm not a military expert, but I believe there are techniques, equipment, tools or vehicles that can be used to reduce the risk to operators. Frankly it's besides the point. Just because someone cannot think of a solution they prefer over running a death camp, does not mean they are not free to do so.

If you have the time, I'd recommend watching the film. It's excellent. And as with most things, particularly in times of war, it's complicated.
