Man makes house out of a dumpster

Police Militarization in Anaheim, CA

bmacs27 says...

I'm often a police sympathizer. In this case I'd be interested in a little bit more context, but doubt it would really change my mind. This response seemed pretty disproportionate to the size of the rally, and you can't help but wonder if that has to do with the content of the rally.

At the same time, if you are the cops going to police the KILL PIGS rally, you probably want to make sure everyone is ready for anything. Unfortunately some precincts don't consider tolerance of mild civil disobedience. In cases like this it could be the most effective way to diffuse the situation. Worst thing that happens is they break a couple windows, set a dumpster on fire, and look like a bunch of assholes. Instead they have photos of you charging mickey mouse and your assault rifles and batons at the police brutality rally. That's some quality police work.

"Where, oh where, are my baby bears? Some baby bears got stuck in a dumpster over night. Mama bear sat by the dumpster all night listening to her cubs cry. This kept my aunt's friends awake as well. Watch their rescue!"

Huffy Satan Kitten

I love that last shot at the end. How can something be so cute and so cranky at the same time?

Sure about that? Maybe you are mistaking fussy for feral. They look borderline domesticated...maybe rescue kittens from some lot near a dumpster? Hard to get the wild our of a wild domestic.

Police Fire On Men Women and Children w/ Non Lethal Rounds

The po po in Cali are shell-shocked forever after Watts Riot, Compton's Cafeteria Riot, Sunset Strip curfew riots, the Berkeley riots, the White Night gay riots, the 92'Los Angeles riots(Rodney King),the Staples Center/Championship riot, the 2000' Riots in Santa Cruz~

Anaheim Police, afraid to be added to the list sought to quash a potential mob with rubber bullets and puppy-dogs. Hmmmm....all that got burned was a trash dumpster? Shit man, these folks looked predominately Hispanic which is probably why it never escalated into burning down homes and businesses in the immediate area....Pride of ownership and respect for personal property.

How Sex Offender Regestries Fail Us

braschlosan says...

You can become a registered sex offender by pissing onto a dumpster at 2 in the morning after you left the bar,,, because a child could have seen your penis from the street. How many children are out on the street in front of a bar at 2am?

That cap is there for quality control, so people can not go dumpster diving for points and plaster the front page with their own videos.

In reply to this comment by oritteropo:
It would be awfully nice if the powerpoints you earn from deadpool fixes could be stacked rather than having a limit of 1 (or two for charter). In general, a deadpool fix takes me between 5 and 20 minutes depending on whether or not there was a thumbnail, how good the tags were etc., and the times I can spend this much time on it tend to be bad times for actually using power points, like the middle of the night in the U.S.... argh!

The Crow made the two Cats fight!

Crows rock. I watched several of them sitting on the edge of a dumpster behind Arby's holding paper bags of cinnamon sticks with one claw while ripping them open...then they plucked the cinnamon sticks out and ate them like it was nothing...they ain't dumb.

Louis CK Honors George Carlin

Bit of a change of pace to see Louis CK so vulnerable. You can tell it came from the heart.

I know... I love that he can effortlessly talk about throwing his kid in the dumpster, but the loss of the most crass comedian of all time gets him all teary eyed.

I think culture can be used to affect evolution. Not always in a good way, though. The fact that the intelligent don't fuck as often as the dumb is kind of scary to me.

I think it's simply a cultural evolution. We're breaking out of a 20 year oppression from freedom of speech known as "political correctness". I was listening to Louis CK the other day in an interview from a couple of years ago and he mentioned that his comedy used to be more "silly" and nonsense. He hadn't really found a voice for himself until this one joke that he told.

Half expecting the audience to gasp, he told them that he had a 3 year old daughter that was a "fucking asshole". The audience erupted with laughter. He then built on that joke and the next time he went on stage he told the first part, then said "I get the whole 'baby in the dumpster' thing". The crowd was dying of laughter. From story of personal evolution of an act, I deduce that we're all adjusting our compasses. We still know what ignorance is from the days of political correctness, but we're no longer afraid to offend others. We're now entering the "You don't have the right to not be offended" era.

indeed. i'm wondering if the popularity of that type of comedy is indicative of some sort of positive trend in the evolution of the human consciousness. or maybe i'm just grasping for positive trends among the less interesting aspects of a singular species destroying the planet.

ha! delightful. "get over yourself comedy"! def. a far cry from amos and andy.
spot on. hopefully we are getting less petty as a species.
i've been kicking around the connection between evolution of the consciousness and cultural/societal evolution. something about w/out culture/society we'd be jabbing eachother with pointy sticks. culture as either an evolution lubricant or as the primary propellant. the pretty hip too on the idea of the internet, being a cultural phenomenon, propelling evolution based on information exchange.
