Bill O'Reilly on his own meltdown

Space Diva: a celebration of Starbuck (Battlestar Galactica)

EDD says...

exactly. this was confirmed on the miniseries commentary track by Ron D.Moore and in my opinion both livened the show up as well as made it more realistic (I know, that's an almost impossible feat - 1/3 sarcasm).

>> ^uhohzombies:
In the original pilot mini-series script, Kara's morning jog includes the lines "Whaddya hear?" "Nothin' but the rain." "Then grab your gun and pull the cat out" This was a Marine-style marching cadence that the special effects people later requested be re-used in the Viper battle sequence in Part 2. In the final cut the line reads "Grab your gun, and bring in the cat." In "Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part I," Kara again uses the expression "bringing the cat home".
I assume it's just a military thing in the BSG universe, and it was a moment of solidarity between Adama and Thrace, given how he sees her as a daughter.

I (don't) Heart Huckabees

netean says...

I think most media people, especially directors are just childish divas who need to grow up.

sad and pathetic, both in his actions and the fact that we (as a society) apparently look up to these people!

Amy Winehouse younger, purer, healthier: Stronger than Me

schmawy says...

Wow, it's so rare to see a "diva" playing guitar, that's really cool. She makes that strat look huge, so she must be ittybitty.

oh, and regarding all the self-righteous judgementalism regarding what she does or doesn't do, who the F are you? She doesn't owe you anything and it's her life so she can do what she wishes. She clearly has enough talent that she can throw most of it away and will still have more than most of you looking down your little noses at her.

(Edit: Leave Britney alone!)

Amazing 15yr old Johnny Cash

choggie says...

He does not make for a great JC impersonator...nor would anyone, that's reserved for Elvis, and trannies and their favorite divas. Could anyone do justice to Johnny Cash? don't think so.....Ellen is easily impressed-I would suggest to Vince, that he liven up his repertoire with some other covers, and lose the JC affectations in his pronunciation of words...or open a stand at the fish market......

Annie Lennox- Sisters Are Doin' It for Themselves LIVE-2002

Ann Coulter Wants Jews to be 'Perfected'

swampgirl says...

Well, QM she's forever getting a downvote from me for that reason. Why these talk show tools waste their time w/ her. Her opinions "strong"? .. belligerent fits better. Her motivations are not altruistic..she's a shrill diva, drunk on negative attention.
As for the host (tool), he was soo obvious. It's like they were both playing ad-lib roles.

Patsy Cline - Three Cigarettes In An Ashtray

Tracey Ullman Breakway (1983)

Maynard Ferguson - Birdland

Doc_M says...

Maynard is one of the jazz trumpet legends. He gets a bad rep for being a "high-note only" diva of trumpet but that's not fair to him. He led a solid band and had a solid sound. In addition, in this video, his tenor sax player was amazing. This tune is an ounce of back and a pound of jazz. Don't go playing it down.
Plus. This was the 80's. Take that into account plz. 80's folks loved synth crap in their tunes.

Gwen Stefani - What you waiting for?

Rockapella - Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?

HaricotVert says...

Well she sneaks around the world from Kiev to Carolina,
She's a sticky-fingered filcher from Berlin down to Belize,
She'll take you for a ride on a slow boat to China,
Tell me where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

Steal their Seoul in South Korea, make Antarctica cry Uncle,
From the Red Sea to Greenland they'll be singing the blues,
Well they never Arkansas her steal the Mekong from the jungle,
Tell me where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

She go from Nashville to Norway, Bonaire to Zimbabwe,
Chicago to Czechoslovakia and back!

Well she'll ransack Pakistan and run a scam in Scandinavia,
Then she'll stick 'em up Down Under and go pick-pocket Perth,
She put the Miss in misdemeanor when she stole the beans from Lima,
Tell me where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?
Oh tell me where in the world is... Oh tell me where can she be?

Ooh, Botswana to Thailand, Milan via Amsterdam,
Mali to Bali, Ohio, Oahu...!

Well she glides around the globe and she'll flimflam every nation,
She's a double-dealing diva with a taste for thievery,
Her itinerary's loaded up with moving violations,
Tell me where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

Naked Britney Karaoke of Toxic

choggie says...

Damn what a twisted honor.....how could one know that one of the last hits this poor tramp would ever have would be followedby the nose-dive of the century with regard to her utter inability to be a mother, a wife, or anything but a grown-up mouseketeer growing out of her costume........

Poor, sad little girl.......hate to say it, a flaky dipshit.....Love this poppy tune though, and she did keep a spiffy dumper in shape and honed, prior to her fall.....WOOOOF!

compare britanny to other pop-icons' progress:

Aguilara:Hip, stylish, workaholic, will die before she is not the bomb..
Madonna:Half-baked world-view, spirituality from a vending machine, pilates addict, who sounds as vapid as Jane Fonda, and twitches like a ex-meth addict when she opens her mouth.A real creature, ala Tom Cruise

Compare to-
Beyonce: Beuatiful, stylish, talented, and centered....measured sucesss, paced.Loves her mama!
Stefani: Went through her infatuated, girly years, focused, always writing, hits all the way, now a mom, that seems to be handling that with style as well.

My pick for diva of the century......Joss Stone...She got it all!
