I can tell you it was a piece of cake in and out of Australia ... we were warned the NZ security was especially attentive. I still don't get it. Different strokes

Bank of America Employees Were Told to Lie to Home Owners
Well, just ask @blankfist , if banks ever did this, people would just go to another bank. No government intervention needed here.

"'We are doing more business with our customers and clients, and gaining momentum across every customer group we serve,' said Chief Executive Officer Brian Moynihan."
It must be that people like being taken advantage of. I know that's why I personally own a rubber bondage set, because I'd rather get taken advantage of via hot candle wax and use a credit bureau. Different strokes for different folks.

How Reddit Got Huge: Tons of Fake Accounts
Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)
But there's evidence of us both in the same room - unless it's some Fight Club kind of thing. http://videosift.com/talk/SoCal-LA-OC-SiftUp-July-2011
In the first few weeks of VideoSift, back in February of 2006. I will admit that we made a few test accounts, but less than 5 in total I think. Since then - we've been clean.
It's a big difference between VideoSift and other communities. We care about dupes of videos and people. Sites like Reddit and Digg don't. Different strokes. We modelled our culture after a site like Metafilter.

The Scariest Waves Ever Surfed
>> ^ChaosEngine:
First up, that footage is amazing. "terrifying yet beautiful" couldn't be more accurate.
But now, full-on grouch mode....
Overall, the video kinda annoyed me. The slow motion is over used and robbed of it's power. I would rather have seen at least a few shots of the guys riding in real time.
The editing also irritated me. I wanted to see the outcome of a few of those bails.
Finally the music, especially the start, just ruined it for me. I actually stopped the video at the start because I thought there was a glitch in my soundcard or something.
I'm not a big fan of surfing, but I found this video mesmerising for the very reasons you dislike it: the slowmo, editing and above all music makes it unreal, dreamlike ('twould've been shite without HD of course). Different strokes for different blokes and blokettes I guess!

Security Cam Catches Man Swinging Cat by Tail
>> ^oritteropo:
As I don't generally find suffering, human or animal, terribly humorous I don't think there's much risk of laughing.
For reference, re the comments above, the cat swung in the saying has nine strands and not four legs.>> ^Yogi:
>> ^oritteropo:
Except that it's very likely to cause serious injury to the cat, I won't be watching this one.>> ^sillma:
It is pretty cruel, but it does look pretty darn funny as well.
I agree with you, it's not right to watch it because if you love cats you might accidentally laugh and make yourself feel bad. I applaud you sir, you've avoided a genuine human moment today, bravo.
I love cats but I nearly F'n Died laughing...and then I made myself sad. I'm sure if I got a chance to punch that guy in the face I'd laugh my ass off again...ahhh different strokes.
America's 5 Favorite Ways to Ignore Jesus

A few good points (particularly that "pray in your closets, not to be seen of men" is consistently ignored) but mixed in with a lot of ham-handed and pointless non-humor. Americans have large waistlines. Nice. I could see having that as a placeholder, like "make fat American joke here" - but at some point you have to either come back and put in an actual joke or you need to just skip that line.
It's hard to do both commentary and humor - this video did a very lazy run at the former and almost no attempt at the latter. That said, regardless of content, the stupid vocal affectation would have still made this unwatchable. Yes, I get the general reference. No, it doesn't add enough to the video to outweigh the annoyance.
But it'll get a pass, I'm sure, because it's making fun of the right people to be accepted in the political climate here. Make no mistake; I don't like the people this video is making fun of, it's just not a good video.
People who don't agree must be PURGED!!!

Disneyland Surprise
What a good little consumer. I'm down with the whole different strokes for different folks stuff, but my parents took me camping as a child, we hiked mountains, rode bikes through forests, and swam in lakes together.
Though I did want to go to Disney land, looking back I'm fucking glad my parents never succumbed to that bullshit.
I have real memories of a real place that will stick with me my whole life, and when I want to remember my parents after their passing, I will venture to the mountains or the woods, and I value my time with them in those places more and more each year I age. Sorry for being a Grinch but this shallow consumer crap rubs me the wrong way.
Sgt Batista tries to explain God to Dexter
Different strokes for different blokes I guess. I like the romantic subplots.
>> ^shuac:
I just wish this show was more of a police procedural and less of a soap opera with all the dumb romance subplots that I could not possibly care less about. I fast-forward right through those.

Cyclists bike as slow as possible in a sprint race
Different strokes for different folks.
I was caught in a web of suspense. The mind games and tactics are excellent to watch, arguably more interesting than the actual sprint. I mean yeah it's fun to see humans go as fast as they can but it tends to be over in 10seconds or less. The build up is the captivating part.
Neil Peart drum solo on Letterman last night
>> ^smooman:
it just takes a certain kind of person to appreciate drum solos. some do some dont. i happen to love em. just like it takes a certain kind of person to appreciate lightning fast guitar solos. as a guitarist im not all that into the facemelting, technical, speed solos full of appregios and such. Im more of a "make every note count" solo along the lines of santana, clapton, or billy gibbons (im very partial to "bluesy" soloing).
different strokes for different folks
I often like just raw drum solos I just don't think this particular one was that inspired.
