How Every Opening On An iPhone Is Cleaned | Deep Cleaned

rancor says...

For anyone playing along at home, I would use plastic instead of a metal implement. The "toothpick" from your swiss army knife is usually pretty flat and great for loosening/scooping crud from the charging port. The plastic is better to avoid scratching all of that metal, not to mention no risk of short circuiting the charging contacts!?

Yeah, those phones were pretty gross. I'm still rocking an iPhone 8 and I only had to clean out some packed pocket lint once. Of course, I don't wear makeup.

Report” Blames Biden Administration For Chaotic Withdrawal

newtboy says...

Yes, Bob. You’ve been so consistently insultingly intentionally dishonest that, even if you might have a point, for instance, even though Biden bears SOME responsibility for problems completing Trump’s withdrawal while those Trump released from prison without consulting the Afghan government were quickly taking over the country, no one is going to hear it from you.

Why would they? 98.6% of the time, the few clams you make with a basis in fact turn out to be misrepresentation, twisting of fact, or pure lies you’ll admit were lies once I no longer matters (like after both impeachments). When you cheer for Trump or against Democrats, most people ignore you because you are invariably spouting dishonest nonsense anyone with two brain cells can see right through.

This is the price of being a dishonest Trumpist propagandist for years. Your credibility isn’t just shot, it’s shot, stuffed, mounted, and hanging on your wall as a trophy kill.

Biden beat Trump. Every time you degrade him, you only make daddy Trump weaker, since old and slow grandpa Joe beat the crap out of the Tangerine Palpatine. Joe won, he’s a 100% success at his presidency, it was the only promise he has to keep…..he cannot fail now, it’s impossible.

Also, Biden not being able to perfectly clean up all the disasters Trump left in multiple steaming piles on the Oval Office rug is not exactly a ringing endorsement of Trump either. FYI. He’s done pretty good on cleaning most spots,- economy, jobs, even Covid (among the non cultists), but the stains and scent will linger for decades.

Thousands of looted packages line LA train tracks

I saw similar footage yesterday that they said was an area that had been cleaned up mid December, so that’s only 1 month worth of stolen packages. I think this has been an issue there for over a year now.

Trump, GOP To NUKE Reps Who Voted For Biden's Bill

newtboy says...

Derp.
Here’s your class for the day, Bobby.
To start with, >1/2 goes to preexisting transportation spending…and you just accounted for the rest…..wrongly. New transportation funding accounts for +-$280 billion. +-$240 billion for water, electric, broadband, and resilience.
Only one category grew in the final bill, cleaning up mines and superfund sites, now $20 billion. Funny how everyone can agree to spend tax dollars to clean up after corporate pollution instead of asking the polluters to pay.
100% of funding for schools, housing, home health care, r&d and manufacturing, and clean energy tax credits….gone. Not a penny left in the final bill.

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/07/28/upshot/infrastructure-breakdown.html

Better go back to math class, the bill is $1.2 trillion….$540 billion is almost 1/2, not 1/4, not 24%….the rest is funding pre existing costs like road and bridge maintenance. Duh. Don’t you ever get tired of being so wrong so often?

bobknight33 said:

Infrastructure improvement of bridges, highways, roads, ports, waterways, and airports—accounts for only $157 billion, or 7%, of the plan’s estimated cost. The definition of infrastructure can reasonably be expanded to include upgrading wastewater and drinking water systems, expanding high-speed broadband Internet service to 100% of the nation, modernizing the electric grid, and improving infrastructure resilience. That brings the total to $518 billion, or 24% of the plan’s total cost.

The rest mostly for buying votes via pork.

Lol. Such projection, Bob. Never anything to add to a conversation, so you fall back on silly, baseless, prepubescent insult. It’s totally divorced from reality, but it’s still funny watching you squirm.

You could only think there’s no factual information if you don’t/can’t read them. They are chock full of fact and citation, unlike your posts that have neither….ever.

And stop being coy, Bob. Every person here knows full well you read my posts like they were air and you were trapped underwater. I read yours like a tired garbage man who just found another pile of garbage they have to clean up.

Such sad and dishonest whining, little Bobby. If only you would grow up a little you could be childlike.

I don't even read you trash since there is no factual information.

PFAS: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO)

newtboy says...

The EPA just today announced plans to set actual enforceable limits for drinking water contamination by the two most common variants, hopefully well below the 70/1000000 unenforceable recomendation they previously issued, before the 2023 deadline, and to study the health effects of other variants and regulate them.
They also announced plans to force polluters to clean up the places where they dumped, which seems to be impossible considering the size and mobility of these molecules, and the fact that they've already migrated everywhere so can't possibly be fully removed.
