Calvary Trailer
Went to see it last night and I'm still mulling over what I think about it. It's undoubtedly a great movie, I'm just not sure that I like it.
I mean, the script is phenomenal, it's beautifully shot and Gleeson is amazing in it.
But there were a couple of things that just didn't sit right. Chris O'Dowd really can't do drama and Dylan Moran doing "Bernard Black becomes obscenely wealthy and turns into an arsehole" felt completely out of place. And I am absolutely mystified as to who told Aiden Gillen (the doctor) that accent was a good idea. It sounds like a parody.
In some ways, it felt like some kind of commentary on post-catholic Ireland. I haven't been home much in the last 10 years, but I don't remember that much open depravity in small town Ireland.
But still, I think its merits outweigh its faults, and the fact that I'm still thinking about it can only be a good thing.
A massive fly invades the studio - The Graham Norton Show
This cuts off before the best part. Graham Norton says, "But you didn't swallow any of it. It's all still there." Chris O'Dowd replies, "That's why I'm a good girl."
Much laughter, while O'Dowd puts on an adorable disgusted-with-myself expression.
IT Crowd's Chris O'Dowd Interview on Conan O'Brien

Wow. Is it just me or did anyone else get the impression that Bradley Cooper is a bit of an arsehole from that?
Not really. Any particular reason?
Mainly the "interactions" at 1:20-1:30 and 5:20-5:38. His looks to the audience and Andy in particular seem to harbour some kind of contempt or arrogance towards Chris.
It just seems like he doesn't want to engage or laugh with O'dowd at all. In fact the only times Cooper laughs is after his own unfunny, snide remarks.
Maybe it's just me, but he definitely doesn't seem down to earth at all from that.

Did he seem a bit up himself? I noticed that he wasn't engaging too well, but the only reason it was apparent is because Bradley Cooper has always seemed very down to earth whenever I've heard or seen him interviewed
The IT Crowd (U.S. version) Unaired Pilot
After watching the first 3 season of the original IT crowd, this americanized version doesnt seem as funny. The laugh track is annoying, or even if it is filmed in front of a life studio audiance theyre annoying.
Im guessin the main reason is alot of the british humor would go over some peoples head, so they make it into American humor. And they dont censor stuff on the original show, which is whats even more charming about it.
I think Ill pass on the american version. Moss doesnt feel right without the proper Roy (Chris O'Dowd).
