This was one of the first jackass-type videos I saw on the internet, about 1998 I think it was. Back then it was hard to find these gems so we watched this one over and over at work. He tied the ladder with bungee cords, which stretched when he jumped. Still painful to watch.

I don't understand why the truck flipped over... Were they using a bungee cord?

It looks to me that they're using the garden hose to prevent scraping their bungee lines against the concrete; there's bungee cord running through all that hosing, so they're not exactly as insane as you might have thought.

Still a cool sight, considering the industrial building.

How is this even relevant to the video? I'm surprised he didn't say that the bungee cord that snapped on that Australian woman was Obama's fault.

as you say she probably fell less than 20m easily survivable even if you belly flopped it , as for the crocodiles the water was fast flowing and she was in the middle so it sunlikely they would have gotten her.
the only really remarkable thing about this is that the bunjee rope broke in the first place and that she was lucky she didn't drown / the water was deep enough to brake her fall.

Idk, it looks to me that the cord snaps pretty much as soon as it takes up tension. No doubt it would have slowed her down a bit but I can't imagine by much considering that it was only holding her weight for a fraction of a second.


As for the Crocs, well yes, I agree. The more significant risk was drowning, especially if she had been knocked unconcious from the impact. I'd say it was a pretty close call that didn't really need hyping up.

a piece of equipment was ratcheted down wrong or held in place with bungee cords and in turn destroys all that work and money and history.
