Most insects have a ventral nerve cord which is a set of cells that allow for movement based purely on external stimuli so the brain doesn’t need to be involved at all for reactive movement. These cells also seem to do the job of proprioception, locating the body position in space, so it’s not that surprising it can stand itself up and walk…it can likely even move away from high heat. Bugs are weird. Some dinosaurs had similar systems.

Strictly speaking, a bug is an insect in the group Hemiptera – it must have piercing mouthparts. Cicadas are Hemiptera, but spiders aren't.

Bonus - Defendant Don lost his final appeal to Engoron and the MAGGOT landlord/tenant lawyer who accosted the judge in the hall then tried to call that an inappropriate exparte conference on Fox will likely be disbarred for not just trying to screw the case but chasing the judge into a private “judge only” exit. Under 2 months after delivery, in some cases just days after delivery, users are finding out the “stainless steel” skin is less than stainless. They used low quality steel. It rusts immediately.

Lymphoma…she lasted a full year after diagnosis. 7 years ago she was paralyzed in our back yard, but no matter how many times we asked she refused to say what happened. She never let it get her down, though. She was 13+.
