Southern Baptist Church Has Long Hidden List Of Sex Abusers
Lol…in Utah, the Bible has been banned from schools for violence, explicit sexual content, vulgarity, drug use, etc.
The Book of Mormon is under review for the same thing.
One more fascist right wing censorship ploy backfires.

Listening to that still makes me get sentimental and kinda emotional
My first intro to Skynyrd was in a movie theater when i was just a kid. I was there to see the movie Grease and they played the Lynyrd skynyrd short tribute as a trailer. It made a memorable impression, as at the end, it said that they died in a plane crash. https://youtu.be/IbfrL8uH0Z4
In seventh grade(private christian school) some kids convinced the school to let them play a christian 'Skynyrd' song (Freebird) at Wednesdays chapel we all had to intend on a weekly basis. They changed a few lyrics to make it god friendly then rocked a 15 minute guitar solo. It was hilarious and pretty awesome.
Just last week i went to see 'Book of Mormon" in San Francisco and after the show as we were filing out someone yelled FREEBIRD as if there was gonna be an encore. All us older people smiled.
Today, some eight months after the fact, I noticed that someone uploaded a fairly high quality version of one of my all time favorite videos.
Nearly twenty years of dependence on a VHS rip have finally come to an end.

I'm not defending the mormon church, I am just commenting that the level of discourse in society is at an all time low, that this is socially acceptable. Obviously it isn't a winning issue with videosift, but I think that its wrong to treat people this way.

I'm not sure that the level of discourse has changed, so much as Christianity has become an acceptable target again. Parker and Stone actually treat the Mormon church with an unprecedented level of respect considering all the things that South Park has parodied, as evidenced by the "All About Mormons" episode. They present the religion as weird, but in the end, the people of South Park are shown to be a million times stranger and the Mormons decide the best course of action is to leave all the idiots to themselves.

BORING!!!>> ^shinyblurry:
As much as I disagree with mormonism, it's easy to see what this really is, which is an attack on faith, especially faith in Jesus Christ. They just found a way to caricature it in mormonism. It's really quite a sad thing to watch those people revel in the mockery. Our society has degenerated to such a point where it is socially acceptable to openly ridicule millions of people. While I am concerned for the souls of the mormons, I think this attack on their faith is really quite despicable.

They tried that in communist Russia and it didn't work out very well
Fuck me, the idiot is right. Maybe we should unite the nation, nay the world, under the banner of Jesus? We'd need a slogan though. How about "God with us"? Yeah, that works. Then we could round up all those dodgy looking non-christians. Obviously we'd someway of easily identifying the though. Maybe an armband of some sort? Only thing is, once we've rounded them up what do with them? Can't have them hanging around, they'd only cause trouble. What would be needed is some kind of ultimate answer... a "final solution" if you will.
Now that I've invoked godwin, can we drop this crap and move on?
