What Makes John Bonham Such a Good Drummer?
DrMaximanI totally agree, John Bonham was a totally amazing drummer and his untimely death was such a loss to music; as were the early deaths of Marc Bolan and Jimi Hendrix. I would love to have heard how their music evolved.
There are few drummers in the world that can compare to John Bonham, one of those few is Neil Peart of the Canadian rock legends RUSH. There was a article a few years back in Rolling Stone magazine which listed him as number 4 (Bonham was number 1!!). I think Keith Moon was second, although I don't know why. Peart is far better!! I can't remember who was third.

Mark Bolan was one of the most underrated artist of his time. Excellent music. "Slider" is a great album.

Gloria Jones (born 12 September 1938 in Longview, Texas) was an American singer. She recorded the 1964 northern soul classic "Tainted Love", later a hit for the British synth-pop duo Soft Cell. She was also the girlfriend of T. Rex singer Marc Bolan with whom she had a son, Rolan Bolan. She sang backing vocals and played Clavinet with T. Rex from 1973 to 1977. She was the driver of the car, an Austin Mini, that crashed and killed Marc Bolan on September 16, 1977. Gloria Jones should not be confused with the Gloria Jones who was an original member of The Blossoms.
