Ok...so...what exactly are they actually asking people of opting-out of? I'm assuming full body scanners? And if you do, what happens? Nothing?!?

I mean...I watched 13 friggin minutes of it, and there's no details anywhere on the actual campaign.

We traveled over Thanksgiving week. Flew from ATL to FLL and back Sunday to Sunday, and one thing I noticed is that the security lines, for us at least, moved very fast! We got through security on both ends in less than 5 minutes. I even got to go through one of the new body scanners. In the back of my mind, it felt a little odd...but I got over it in seconds.

About the TSA employees...I dont want to generalize, but they do not appear to be the brightest bunch. Seems to me like they've been beaten down with so many rules and regulations, that they've forgotten discretion and common sense. Lack of discretion I can live with, common sense, come on. You have to take every situation as it comes to you and adjust as needed. Amazing that stories like this one pop up.

But if she did install the backscatter x-rays and 'gate rape' pat down procedures at bus stations, train stations and ship ports, would it really change your opinion of her in the slightest? And why are Democrats now laying down and claiming "this is the world we live in" instead of protesting this for the civil liberties violation that it is?

I always love the double standard of corruption in gov't vs corruption in business.

If gov't is corrupt, OMG!!! FASCIST STATE!! POLICE STATE!! ARMAGEDDON!!

but if it is a business it's corrupt, it's always..oh well, suck it up, that's life...vote with your dollars.

I like neither of those options, but why do businesses get essentially a free pass and we just hope it gets fixed if they lose profit...nevermind that they are still making profit off their corruption.

Ordered in 2005 and installed in...? Look, I understand you think Obama is the inerrant leader and savior of mankind, but you have to admit that the TSA is under the purview of the Obama Administration, so why does it matter if the order for these porno-scanners was placed in 2005 or 1905? Irrelevant. They're there now, and King Obama is doing nothing to rid us of the gate rape pat downs and porno-scanners.

Seriously, you aren't helping f'ed up situation with lies, when the truth is just as bad.

The real story was a boy that didn't opt-out. He went through metal detector and was selected for extra search. The kid didn't like being touched and the father tried holding the boys arms out.

The father TOOK OFF THE SHIRT just for being fed up with the process.
This was NOT A STRIP SEARCH. TSA didn't ask boy to remove anything.

The problem is that TSA is searching little children, which is insane.

The only goal is to sell a billion dollars of body scanners because Chertoff owns a firm or has interest in his clients firm that sells these things, to make money. They are only interested in finding drugs and money. That is it. They have caught ZERO bad people with all the screenings. They have found almost nothing.
