Day One of Bradley Manning trial wraps up
My feeling is that the one's that perpetrated the atrocities are the one's who aided the enemy, not the one who called them out on the BS and lies. If Manning had made up lies about American tactics and made the lies public, he would be at fault.
When 'America' (or it's government) acts with evil intent then lies about it and is caught, the 'whistle blower' is supposed to get 10% of what he saves the government by ending the offending program (in this case, 2 wars). Perhaps that's why they call him a terrorist traitor, they don't want to have to pay him the $200 Billion that SHOULD (but won't) be saved by ending the wars, or at least by ending the tactics that are certain to create new enemies and continue the 'war' in perpetuity.

Reporter questions Obama's love for brave journalism
>> ^bmacs27:
To be fair, I don't believe a single case he mentioned involved a reporter. It was only the leakers, in every instance knowingly divulging sensitive information, who were prosecuted. Also, it didn't always stick, and it isn't as if he forced the hand of the courts, or outright killed the journalists. I hardly think the comparison of Obama to Al Assad is fair. Get real.
He never said journalists were being prosecuted. He was pointing out that the espionage act was preventing journalists from aggressively reporting on the information, and circumstances, of the whistle blowers. On that point he was correct. But, of course, and maybe quite rightly, the "national security" card is played to prevent sensitive information being reported. It's a fine line between what we "need" to know, and what is in the country's best interest.
A PC full of filth!
>> ^critical_d:
It will surprise you how quickly your pc will accumulate dust, hair, and fuzzies like this one did. Best scenario is the overall lifetime of the pc will be diminished (heat is a computer killer) and worse case is a short circuit in the box catches the nasties on fire and your house burns down.
If you do (and you should) want to clean out the dust then I suggest using canned air or a camera dust blower. Vacuum cleaners can build up a static charge that will wreck the computer if you aren't careful. The compressed air like these guys use is awesome for filling tires but there always seems to be water (condensation?) in the take that comes out when you use it.
This is just my advice based on personal experience
so think of it as lawtake it with a grain of salt, I am sure others have had better luck but I wouldn't take the risk.More info:

It's more weird that SOME old computers are fairly clean inside even in the same place!
A PC full of filth!
I bought a small air compressor for exactly this purpose, but now prefer using a leaf blower. Much faster. I have seen some bad ones, full of dust, pet hair, nasty smoke residue, and spiders. Many people see their computers as an appliance, like a toaster. They want it to turn on and just work, ignorant of what is needed at a minimum to keep it running well. But even a toaster needs the crumb tray emptied once in a while. Unfortunately, it's only when a fan dies or a heatsink gets completely clogged that they notice it "acting funny", "locking up", "making funny noises", or they "think it has a virus". "Oh, and by the way, one of the fans used to make lots of noise, but I figured it must have fixed itself because I don't hear it anymore".
I've got stories.

I can't NOT do a run-down of the subtitles. They're just too goddamn funny.
"The justified and has charged up former C_i_a_ officer
are john and tour kalo
steeple player is said that right
arbiter reiterates problems they write me anyway out with a espionage act
now that's a very very serious charge you know that before president obama
theres only been
three instances of the united states government
charging someone with the espionage act
forgiving excessive information
as they claim
this former cia officer there
and
six different tastes
that is special on it because president or bob promise to
i'd be air and friend to whistle blowers
entrance passage
there's something wrong in our government he reported he was going to
help you
doesn't look like he's albania
so whatever sag ideal while he talked about
how we want a quart of people
and how was torture
now he thought it was justified even did an interview on sixty minutes
and said
uh that he thought it worked the underplayed amount of george but we did
but do you happen to call it torture
now they look at that missy i did not like that
furthermore there was a two thousand a new york times story which invade
believe he is the source of the dam
proving at and so they well okay i got past and i jack I guess you're you
know
there was one of the toughest laws we have
and we're company get your are part of the spaces
because it's if
here's a great irony of that
if you actually do the waterboarding if you didn't torture
you got no punishment whatsoever
now present all mama claimed it was torture and ridiculous and he says he
stopped at
as ridiculous in a squabble right
is torture
but he didn't always scot-free
the president will not
look backward euler look for work
if you report the waterboarding the torture
espionage act
when I play with a look back work
all its to protect the C_i_a_'s after this thing
protect that's the bush administration
error and dick cheyney that order that torture well then of course you look
backward and in fact the new uh... looked very deep into you know us info about
charging
the defense lawyers at one time all back
our whole system is based on
an adversarial system
where somebody gets a defects
now one of the press uh.. tactics was to look at that
interrogators
and try and determine who they were so they can bring them into the court
and say eight use them as witnesses
because the guys who aren't going to have a bank
that are face execution
listen when you get an executed we should be able to call the witnesses
That's not even half the video. But I laughed my ass off.
