The REALLY surprising thing... Billo is getting MORE reasonable the older he gets.

@Winstonfield_Pennypacker, FWIW, I do think you at least sidestepped my point. It's not so much about the labels, as much as matching up (for example) Eric Cantor's claims that the stimulus won't create any jobs at all, with him presenting novelty-sized stimulus checks to the people of his district, and talking up how many jobs it will create.

Whatever your feelings are about Maddow's political inclinations, it's hard to assail her point that Eric Cantor is a hypocrite for trying to have it both ways.

Trying to make the argument that Maddow is wrong, simply because she generally agrees with Democrats on policy issues, and all people like that can't be expected to tell the truth...when Maddow is literally showing videotape of statement A with videotape of statement B to prove her point, diminishes your own credibility and the credibility of your ability to be objective.

Oh, and it almost goes without saying, but no I don't think BillO or Beck are journalists. I do think Maddow is a journalist -- an opinion journalist, obviously -- but a journalist just the same, because she sticks to the journalistic ethics of presenting facts as accurately as possible, and clearly drawing distinctions between fact and opinion.

I would love to watch a right-wing mirror of Rachel Maddow; someone entertaining, ideologically conservative/libertarian, and fastidious about being factually accurate with their takedowns of liberals and liberal policy. If someone ever starts doing that, let me know!

This is the first time I've ever felt anything like respect for BillO's brand of journalism. The skeptic in me says that he is still trying to help the GOP by eliminating Palin from the candidate pool, but still - good to see her get some questions tougher than, "What newspaper do you read?"

Side note: She seems incapable of linear thought. All of her answers sound like Ms. South Carolina, "Um, the economy, and the taxes, and the jobs, and the healthcare, and the Iraq, like such as..." That's a bad choice for a leader.

Next up, I'd like to thank the rest of y'all suave mofos, for watching, upvoting, and appreciating my twisted sense of humor. And finally, I'd like to thank myself. It wasn't as easy as I made it look, pinpointing the greatest underground rap videos (often foregoing the luxury of thumbnails), locating full episodes and movies (the internet is public domain, so far as I'm concerned), posting political videos that I disagreed with but refused to ignore (how many did I take from you, qm and billo?), and of course, the controversy. No, it wasn't easy but I, "endeavored to persevere."
I discovered VideoSift simply as way to post videos on myspace, interestingly enough. What I found, though, was a galaxy of videos, which have entertained, educated, appalled, and bored the fuck out of me through the year or so since I've discovered this joint. I've even turned some friends onto it, too, but most are still in their lurking-cocoons.
Yes, I've been controversial in the past, it's in my blood, you see? But I think the community, as a whole, is able to realize that I'm more of a civil-siftdisobedient than an outright siftarchist. I never thought I'd say this, but I actually agree somewhat with BillO there in the first half. Part of what the NATO forces are doing in Afghanistan is actually to help build and protect clinics and schools. These schools are among other things giving education to girls, which the reactionary forces in the country are trying to stop at every turn. I fear what would happen to them and the rest of the Afghan people if NATO just up and left.

If I remember correctly, billo ended up exploding in a discard storm.

CP420 I have to take a hard stance against. He was an out-and-out troll, here only to make people miserable while contributing next to nothing. Oddly enough I didn't even know BillO was booted... or if I did I totally forgot.

Laura, ^as always, the voice of reason, tolerance, love and objective response. CP420 seemed a bug in the butter of more than 22 users polled recently on my my reinstatement-I never asked for a poll, the one for me came from an unexpected direction, from a user I rarely had any interaction with.

The tone of dissenters on this thread so far seems a bit charged. As I always maintained, in this voting community on a site where the users and not the admins dictate, votes should hold some weight in these matters. In an objective comparative analysis of choggie's AND CaptP's history here any reasonable soul should see more differences than juxtaposition.

So for the cheap seats....I took issue and actions as I saw fit, with a handful of users here, not the entire site-I aimed when I shat, others exploded into the crowd. My actions had consequences I both expected and dealt with according to my freewill. Plus, I had not been laid properly in quite some time.
