Nicole Scherzinger Busts Conan For Staring At Her Boobs

SDGundamX says...

If you don't want people (male or female) looking at your boobs, why wear a tight dress that barely contains your breasts and has a plunging neckline? Men are both biologically engineered and culturally trained to look, especially if you're going to do the fashion equivalent of putting a fucking spotlight on them.

And no, I don't believe women need to "cover up" or wear burkas or some such strawman that'll I'll likely get as a reply to this comment. Women can go around naked for all I care, but they shouldn't expect heterosexual men to pretend like they're fully clothed.

EDIT: OMG, Andy's response is perfect! He gets a big bouquet of flowers and puts it on Conan's desk right in between Conan and Nicole and says "Hey Nicole! Ignore the flowers!" LMAO.

@ant Here's the full interview if you're interested in including Andy's comeback:

Norm MacDonald on Hitler

poolcleaner says...

I want to say Norm MacDonald is an acquired taste, but he isn't. I love this guy and always have. Maybe he can control some of our minds but not all?

Hmmm... maybe that's why he can just stammer and trip over his words, barely even mouthing out the entirety of their syllables and still be hilarious! It's actually his entire act to be ignorant, including his cadence and body language; so pretty much everything he does and says is ignorant in a very funny way. Irony is funny, what can a person say but to the contrary, which is objectively wrong -- and I have several books on irony that deal directly with the subject.

I can see why people don't enjoy his humor, but what he is doing, the jokes he's telling have objective qualities which are considered funny as per the writings and philosophies of mankind, therefore intellectually sound per said society.

The jokes are often but not always so low brow they appeal to a broad audience. It's genius, I'm sorry. You haters probably can't even stomach an Andy Kaufmann wrestling match.

Groundhog Day - How many Days Is Bill Murray Stuck in Time

ChaosEngine says...

I never really got the love for this movie. Yes, Bill Murray is great in it, but Bill Murray's pretty much awesome in everything, and a great premise is pretty much ruined by the central plot and then compounded by the inclusion of Andie McDowell.

It feels like there's a leaner, funnier movie in there, but it got derailed into boring romcom territory.

Avengers 2: Age of Ultron - Official Teaser Trailer

RFlagg says...

Seriously! I mean we got Hulkbuster armor! The way everyone is in the room with Banner but looking away and he looks like he just did something bad... more and more hints of a possible Planet Hulk movie! Andy Serkis, in an unknown roll... (I've heard guesses as to him being Ulysses Klaw, but I don't know who that is at all but based on the pics from the comics and his back story it sounds likely). Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch... Thor grabbing Tony Stark, and Tony's statements about the path he himself started (creating Ultron rather than Hany Pym) which might hint at Civil War... so much geek going on in this trailer.

Also, Jame's Spader's voice acting was perfect.... The use of "I Got No Strings"... I'm pumped for a midnight showing myself.

The "Throw Like a Girl" Myth | MythBusters

vil says...

How is this a myth? What is the supposed content of this myth? And the video? Some people throw like girls, then throw even more like girls with their other hand. Then this lady comes up who can throw and is commended for throwing like a man. What?

If you are a man and someone says you throw or run like a girl everyone understands what that means. It means they want to find out if you also fight like a girl.

If you are a girl and you do something like a girl - that doesnt actually merit conversation. Or insult. Ambiguity overload. Could mean anything.

Throwing with your left hand. That has more to do with your favored hand and favored eye than practice and technique. My younger son is right handed but has a dominant left eye. He can hit a target equally well with either hand, same "form". He can probably throw a bit farther with his right hand but not by much. Not so good trying to aim a gun - try holding a weapon in your right hand and aim with your left eye. He shoots like a girl (yes I know there are many girls who can shoot) but he can throw like a man with both hands. For basketball, tennis, ice-hockey, soccer - very useful to be ambidextrous. Probably also skiing, snowboarding, surfing, because you care less about which way you are turning.

Why would you want to take practice and technique out of the equation anyway - throwing like a girl is not just about strength, it´s about attitude and motivation and will to compete. And technique.

And girls very obviously have different techniques to men in sports that rely a lot on strength and aggresivity. Some girls practice with men and apply masculine techniques, others try to find their own way. No one tells Sharapova that she hits the ball like a girl - but that is certainly exactly what she does, compared to Nadal, no insult intended.

Andy Murray now has a female coach, I am sure he will be very careful not to appear to be hitting the ball like a girl.

If you have the same equipment and strength matters you cant help having a different technique.

If all that matters is skill (lets say youre throwing a light ball a short distance at a target) I would expect not much gender difference.
