I think this has gradually become a decent show. I didn't like the earlier shows much and I still think they could work in some geeky memes in the same way you see done in Family Guy/American Dad. That said the writing was pretty tight on the last show, the Fredo one.

Actually Patrick Stewart is NOT impersonated: look at #5 and #8 on his list. He's been on American Dad and Family Guy quite a lot.

Family Guy stopped being funny ages ago, but in my mind, American Dad is one of the best (and most consistently funny) comedies on TV. It started out kinda shaky, but somewhere around season two it started to get really good.
